Would those of you who have experience with a variety of different strings please verify the accuracy of this chart, or add your own comments about it's inaccuracy. Surprisingly missing is LN No. 1, 3, and 5. Where would they be? It would greatly help us beginner string connoisseurs. Thank You, Scrench
I had no idea it was a Yonex chart. It seems like they torpedoed their own string, Aerosonic, by giving the impression that it is the best for repulsion, but useless for control.
The chart is quite accurate, and aerosonic so far in my experience has the best repulsion and good accuracy also good tension holding. aero’s only weakness is the durability, dont smash too hard and you’ll be fine.
Aerosonic is the best for repulsion and is very good for control! Repulsion: 11/10 Control: 9/10 I would place LN1 on a line with BG85 (hard feel) and BG66UM (repulsion).
IMO pretty inaccurate based on my feel. Can't imagine that any aerosonic hybrid gets so close to a uniform BG80 feel. Must be steel wire. If it is a cocktail I can't mix pure Vodka (BG80) with any softdrink (aerosonic) 50:50 to get close as drunk from the same amount. Also BG80 Power too close to BG80. NBG99 IIRC definitely not as soft as BG65. Must be much closer to BG80 Power. NGB95 a bit lower to BG65 level. Nanogy98 also too high placed and not compareable with BG66Ultimax by feel. Never tried BG85 but based on what I read it must be move more up closer to BG80. Hold and repulsion very difficult to compare based on feel, can't tell if right or wrong, but axis of hardfeel-softfeel 100% not accurate IIRC because I played following side by BG80 & BG80P NBG99 & BG80 NBG99 & BG80P BG80 & BG80P & BG66Ultimax BG65TI & BG80 BG80P & NBG98 BG65 & BG80 and get a different impression. IMO best to test strings, instead of choosing from charts.
