This shoe has been published for quite long time. But I haven't seen any professional players wear it on court. any ideas? maybe it is too expensive to the professionals..
Kevin sanjaya and marcus gideon wear it back then, but because its heavy they didn’t wear it anymore, they switched back to their previous shoes, gideon aerus 3 and kevin wear the new shb65z2 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
okay, that is the first time i hear that they are heavy.. compare with aerus 3, it should be heavier, as the feature of aerus 3 is light weight.
Yeah, they’re quite heavy, no wonder that kevin and gideon switched back to their previous shoes, i think yonex making a huge mistake for releasing infinity BOA and eclipsion series Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
@sunzhewyq Both colors on Wang Chi Lin. And he's still using it. @Kyuketsuki , Yonex was doing BOA shoes since the SC10i in 2013, then the CFWD, just that it was a JP only special. The Infinity is the first shoe to go international, but being 2 BOA constrictors, brought the price up. The Eclipsion series is what the 01/02/03 were: stability. They couldn't go with 04 since Chinese people dislike 4, so went with a name instead. How is it a mistake? Sure it may be heavier but the stability is on point.
Thanks @esppy . that looks good. And i can understand that if the shoe is aiming at stability, it can be a bit heavier.. I have read some review about this shoe, none of them mentioned the weight.. some of them said the sole is quite thin..
They aren't the nicest looking shoes - I think they could have done separate overlapping BOA straps instead of one large flap. The Eclipsion X and Z series look much better (although not many players seem to use those either)
