It was live streamed by JustFun. Chinese coaches must have studied ASY's style and instructed HBJ to play a rallying game, moving AN all over the court. Saw only a couple of half smashes from her. Just my opinion.

Minions have overwhelmingly dominant h2h record against most of the current pairs. Endo/Wata is one of the very few pairs where the Minions don't have dominant record.

    Play hard. Train harder.

Ah thanks, how could I forget that Ct3 is livestreamed on JustFun(http://www.zhuafan.live/channeltypes/Badminton). I'll wait and see if anybody posts it on youtube later.

Post-match, He Bingjiao was full of praise for An Se Young, commenting she showed maturity for her young age of 17, adding when she herself was at ASY's age, she was still learning to smash and lift and making all sorts of mistakes. HBJ herself must have forgotten that Chen Yufei was in awe of her in their junior days.

I thought they struggle against Kam/Son too?
Both minions and Kam/Son are pretty similar in their playing style.

Two medalists of recent world championships Anders Antonsen and Sai Praneeth involved in the gruelling yet closest men's singles contest in last sixteen, the young Dane prevails 22-20 / 20-22 / 21-16. Both players have similar style of play, more tactical combined with excellent placement. A big blow for host China in this discipline, the Olympic Champion Chen Long toppled once again by his average compatriot Lu Guangzu who will take on second seed Chou Tien Chen tomorrow. Later on, the comeback Shi Yuqi retired after first game completion, 10-21 against Rasmus Gemke, the Chinese needs more time to rest following blistering of his right toe. Kento Momota, Viktor Axelsen are on course to cross sword in last eight, other notable name progressing is Jonatan Christie who overcomes Lee Cheuk Yiu in three games and will challenge Antonsen for a place in final four.

China A-listers Chen Yufei-He Bingjiao succeed to fulfill home fans expectation, Chen knocks out Aya Ohori despite had diffiuclty to find fine tune in opening game and seeing familiar foe Ratchanok Intanon next. More interesting clash on court 3 that the lefthander He has better strategy to tackle Korean rising star An Se Young, 21-13 / 21-17 and will up against nemesis Nozomi Okuhara. Tai Tzu Ying prevails in trading errors match against Gregoria Mariska. The on-fire Michelle Li continues her gallant run after defending Macau Open title and will meet Busanan Ongbamrungphan.

A hard day for Indonesia men's doubles, Gideon/Sukamuljo need three games to subdue He JT/Tan Q where world number one producing so many unforced errors in opening game also deciding game, fortunately they seize momentum when it mattered most. A tougher fashion exhibited by world champions Ahsan/Setiawan to down Ou XY/Zhang N in nail-biting encounter with maximum scoreline at final game, 11-21 / 21-18 / 30-29. Alfian/Ardianto couldn't accompany their fellow countrymen, fail to clear Malaysian hurdles, Aaron Chia/Soh WY.

The Olympic Champions Matsutomo/Takahashi seem allergic and not found yet their formula to beat Bulgarian Stoeva sisters, going down in last three encounters including second round here, 11-21 / 17-21. Main contenders keep intact in the fray, top two seeds MatsuNaga, FukuHiro, Chen/Jia and two Korean combinations Kim/Kong and Lee/Shin.

Chinese mixed doubles hotshots start to face complicated test to eliminate, Zheng/Huang will find Korean darkhorses Seo/Chae while Wang/Huang set up a clash with Malaysian vast experienced duo Chan/Goh. Their arch rivals Puavaranukroh/Taerattanachai also Jordan/Oktavianti standing steadily and favoured to book semifinal spot.

An SY is definitely faster than Chen YF to beat top echelon/elite WS, she doesn't need to taking part WJC anymore despite her age is still eligible.

Looks like ASY is only able beating unfit players, CM, NO, AY just returned from injury breaks...
She failed to beat a fit HBJ today though.

That's condescending toward ASY, inconsistency is expected from the teenager, no matter how good she is. She has been doing pretty good, great actually the last few tournaments, to finally have a let down game against well prepared opponent is just normal for her, considering her career stage as of now.

Then, how can you explain about PVS loss at DO? I don't hear any fitness issues from her. Also, ASY and NO never meet each other. NO's last injury was 2 years ago. That's long enough.

I believe that was just one-off thing. If both pairs perform to their very best, the lopsided score should never happened.
