BAI should have proactively recruited a replacement for coach Kim Ji hyun, Putting too much load on Park may force him to resign too.

Good win for Satwik/Ponappa after making a comeback from one game down. They'll most probably meet YutaArisa. On the other hand, KS has been given a walkover. He'll meet either Brice or Sourabh Verma in second round.

Srikanth kidambi is now out of top 10 and is now @ 13 in the world ranking.
Sai Praneeth is in TOP 10. Would you believe it?

It appears to be a Taiwan club.

BAI should have retained Mulyo some how. Flandy seem to doing a good job in place of TKH.

Or KS should've hired him as a personal coach. Like CL, or SN (when she was under Vimal Kumar) ik ik the R1 exits don't get you enough to money to hire a personal coach, also Indian system doesn't seem to advocate multi-institute/clubs scenario.
    Yeah never liked TKH

BSP lost to SYQ who is not his proper shape, SHQ is a very clever player and his defence is on point.

Sai struggled today in 2nd and 3rd game. Definitely, I would say he is slow like a turtle. How can we expect him to win even an injured Rabbit.
Rabbit is rabbit and turtle is turtle.

Where did you watch the game? I couldn't find it.
Fully fit SYQ would have trashed him in and out.

He is not a thinking player, not fast, not accurate.
I don't think he is smart enough athlete to have our hopes pinned on.

There is nothing wrong with his game. It is just one win that will give him confidence to win tournaments and back to #1

Guys, he said only what Srikanth has said in an interview.
    He is totally sarcastic here.
    Good one @mohans.

You cant find that kind of heperbolic confidence in indian threads in recent times. But if you go to Kento Momota's thread, you can find hundreds of lovers over there. May be, recent time sluggishness in Indian side could be the reason that we could not see such over hype postings here .

According to my guess, even a sleeping sri win sourabh if his form was as before but now sourabh has increased his fitness recently. So, no wild guess here. 50-50 and I lean towards sourabh

Gopichand to continue as coach with no succession plan in place

    Excerpts :

“Well, to be honest, the reason why I continue to coach and I am obsessed about it is also because I haven’t had...I don’t see the succession plan come by so easily, it has been tough,” said Gopichand.

“I wish, now... to be honest, I feel it like a burden and a responsibility. I can’t let go the kind of (performance) we have achieved and the players need me and that becomes a burden internally.”

“So in the last few years, I was silently talking to people. In the last few months, I have been talking to the press a little loudly about the need for coach education, need for coaches to be empowered and a system to be in place. It is my selfish desire to rest and relax,” he added.

    i genuinely feel for gopi...
    1. the bwf schedule is murder, meaning
    2. you need a deep infrastructure to manage a team through it, which
    3. requires major stakeholders to step forward and back this country(!), because
    4. you most certainly have the talent pool, so
    5. tell me wtf is going on regarding support for badminton over there?

You are almost right, I'd classify his today's win as a defeat.
