Agree with you 100% on this. I just thought that Minions might need to play more strategically compare to their usual gun blazing offensive that might not be effective in slow hall. Then again, I just rarely see Minions triumph in a slow condition and want to see how Minions and their coach's are able to tackle this problem.
Depends on how slow is the condition. They won 4x in Fuzhou which has always been a moderate (to slow) condition (imo Fuzhou is same with Musashino Plaza) but they didnt lose to EndoWatanabe because of slow condition last week. The HK stadium is fast in 2019&2017. they just didnt convert. Guangzhou last year look real slow though. Definitely top 3 slowest hall.
My most favourite rally (sequence) this year is when Minions play LiLiu in G3 JO after interval, Kevin got past the acrobatic shot over the net , Liu hits the net, Li looks forlorn. a couple points later , Li shouted out loud then the next point... its so good , so intense thats what we watch badminton for. No love is lost between the same generation. whats yours?
5 of the 6 titles since Minions won IndonesiaOpen, the supposed QF opponents is HanZhou. It has been easy because HanZhou doesnt play like a seeded opponents. (it looked that way anyway) and they are supposed to be the roadblock for Minions, instead.... they pave the way. However, it might not be easy next year with HanZhou & AstrupRasm out of top 8. The best matchup is against ShettyRR & FajarRian to certain extent for the QF opponents.
Local TV will broadcast the match. But not sure about the exhibition match. Sent from my LG-H990 using Tapatalk
Too many to recall, but maybe Match Point in Fuzhou China Open Final against Kam/Son? Most entertaining.
the last 2 points i can see or it seems the CHN fans are enthused with Kevin.. I thought they dont want Minions to win in earlier rounds but they are itching for KamuraSonoda to lose.. some things never change
Minions and Ahsan/Hendra exhibition match is tonight, right? Shame there is no live streaming for it. Hope one will upload the full match
Marcus Fernaldi Gideon (left) and Kevin Sanjaya Sukamuljo. MEET THE TOP EIGHT – MEN’S DOUBLES QUALIFIERS MONDAY, DECEMBER 2, 2019 TEXT BY DEV SUKUMAR | BADMINTONPHOTO An overview of the season’s performances of the top eight men’s doubles pairs who qualified to the HSBC BWF World Tour Finals 2019. 1.Marcus Fernaldi Gideon/Kevin Sanjaya Sukamuljo (Indonesia) The ‘Minions’ had another brilliant season, winning eight World Tour titles – including three in a row (Denmark, France, China). Rather unusually, they fell in the first round of two major events – the All England and the World Championships – but bounced back strongly after both setbacks. Their record in finals – eight wins out of nine – once again demonstrated why they are such an exceptionally gifted combination. Hendra and Ahsan won their third world title this year. 2.Mohammad Ahsan/Hendra Setiawan (Indonesia) The ‘Daddies’ might have finished second-best to the Minions in all their five matches this year, but it was still significant that the veterans made no less than ten finals, of which they won three. They did win two major titles that eluded the Minions – the All England and the World Championships. They continued to hold their own against much younger pairs, thrilling audiences everywhere with their unique brand of badminton, showcasing the virtues of control and craft. 3. . . . Don't we miss minions old jersey, I love this read one especially in the picture below.. They looked so cool and bad ass in that. The latest design with that checkered line hasn't grown on me just yet, either color They look somehow like lego characters. I can't wait to see their new jersey though. They had a new one last year in WTF, hoping for a new one in WTF this year too. Please please please Yonex do it right this time!! =========== https://bwfworldtourfinals.bwfbadminton.com/news-single/2019/12/02/top-8-confirmed-for-hsbc-bwf-world-tour-finals-2/ TOP 8 CONFIRMED FOR HSBC BWF WORLD TOUR FINALS Men’s Singles Kento Momota (Japan) Chou Tien Chen (Chinese Taipei) Jonatan Christie (Indonesia) Chen Long (China) Viktor Axelsen (Denmark) Anthony Sinisuka Ginting (Indonesia) Anders Antonsen (Denmark) Wang Tzu Wei (Chinese Taipei) Women’s Singles Chen Yu Fei (China) Ratchanok Intanon (Thailand) Akane Yamaguchi (Japan) Nozomi Okuhara (Japan) Tai Tzu Ying (Chinese Taipei) He Bing Jiao (China) Busanan Ongbamrungphan (Thailand) Pusarla V.
