I just got hold of the Voltric 80 etune yesterday. will be trying out this evening. i am happy with my voltric 70 and therefore i think this should be an upgrade.

Wow, it is true the V 80 etune is more powerful than V70. this is coming from an ordinary player feel of both rackets. you can clear the base line better for sure. racket does make a different in my opinion

    But. Still 80etn remains good.
2 grommets at top- increase in power but lack in speed
2 grommets at bottom- increase in control no changes in power
All 4 grommets- great power but I don't think the sped changed because all 4 are evenly balanced as a precise weight placement
No grommets- great power, great speed, great control

I have both and yes, v80 etune is better. But wait till you try the 88s astrox. I am not sure of the 99 astrox.

Hi everyone. I've read through all 21 pages of this thread and i still couldn't decide. I own a vtzf2 4u and i absolutely loved it, i play mostly doubles. Right now i can get a vt80 etune 4u at a bargain price. My concern is, will the etune be too heavy for doubles? Will the speed be different than my zf2 4u? Is it worth getting for doubles or should i get apacs virtuoso performance instead for the same price? Pls help me thank you

what do you mean the same price? Does VT80ETN you mean a 2nd hand?
Idk about other area, here in Indonesia my recently bought AVP is IDR 800k include BG66UM & random overgrip. Other hand when im browsing around for new VT80ETN, its around IDR 1.7M - 2M without string.

If its 2nd hand i guest its good bargin, but be sure to check for crack. If not, AVP definitely sucking your pocket badly.

dont have both VT80ETN nor VTZF2.
But im from Victor TK770HT & when getting myself AVP, i find myself hardly fit my feeling with it.
AVP definitely faster as its overall lighter, less head weight (tho still feel abit of weight on it), & aero frame. Miss hit few times at 1st but time will get you used to the fast frame. Even so, after quite a while i still cant satisfy my feeling when hitting. Kinda missing a solid powerfull big bang when smashing. As you come from powerfull sledge hammer racket like VTZF2, your feeling might be the same as me for AVP.

1 benefit of the 80etune is that you can add or remove the weighted grommets to adjust the feeling. If you feel you need more speed then remove all the red grommets, if you want more weight and power to feel more like the ZF2 then add all the red grommets. No matter what grommets you have the racket will feel more solid than the AVP but it will never be as fast, or anything else with an aero frame.

From my memory, swinging 4U Voltric 80 e-tune with all the red parts feels quite close to 3U Z-Force II. I'm regular Z-Force II 3U user and I've had Voltric 80 e-tune in 4U and 3U in the past.

How is the power, speed, and control between VT80Etn without any red parts and VT80Etn with all 4 red parts attached?
