Zheng/Huang is doing better today than yesterday, seems like. Or it's just the opponents?

Melati seems to have been coughing since Paris...

While the other female XD player is slim and tall but can't move well either nor being threatening with her height at the net.
    So yeah..

The Japanese are making Jordan go left and right, front and back, and it’s quite effective. Jordan is not very comfortable when he is not in control.

Melati can't move ...Praveen is single-handedly keeping them together. What a shame!

Octavianti is supposed to be intercepting for Jordan but she’s just too slow. Not that hogashino is much faster...but she goes for it more.

Don’t think so. The pair works by having Melati in front and Jordan presides the back, similar to Zheng/Huang. I think Melati’s side-to-side coverage has been good, she keeps pace with Higashino despite being much slower.

Maybe Praveen could win better if he plays single :D:p

80% of the shuttles hit by Praveen himself, I think lol

Melati is a lot less active than higashino in the front, her shot quality is very good though.
However her slightly pear shaped body and extra weight makes her a fair bit slower...

Slightly? That’s very generous of you...

She’s right up there with He Bing Jiao in the “what are you thinking?” category afaic.

she is good at what she does, which is mainly to set up for Jordan, and occasionally score winners when opponents are off-balanced. She is not as good a finisher as HYQ. But at the same time, Jordan can’t fly like ZSW either. I guess we hold them to higher standards now that they are top 5.

Oh No Hafglo snatched a game out of ZhengHuang and maybe more who knows..

    That game is really crucial.

Hmm.. She hardly set up Jordan. Jordan can't fly but he can cover the court just fine, but he needs his partner to do her job. As far as I could see, Melati had been pretty busy flying at the net trying to reach out to the shuttles many times and failed often.

I don’t disagree. But I still think they both usually do fine going side to side. What’s different today was with Watanabe’s varying shots, they had to go up and down more often and that kind of put them off-balance.
Anyway, if they could beat Zheng/Huang in straight games tomorrow, they may still have a chance :p

Yes but I am still in the opinion that Melati needs to do something to make her able to move faster otherwise it will always be like this. Too many rallies when Jordan was pretty much playing on his own with Melati just watching and apologizing later for missing her shots.. Not just in this match. Just frustrating. As I just started to enjoy Praveen's game lately.
