I've seen that sort of "spring" they call the Gavun Shaft in a really strange Oliver racket once and I thought it was complete and utter nonense. And when have we last seen a real leather grip on a badminton racket? I was mesmerised by it as well when I saw it in the 2018 catalog! Quite intrigued by the tech philosophy behind it as well. Sadly, I never saw any of the Roots series racquets in person as apparently its not very popular here so shops just bring them in on order. Just looked it up on e78 and wow its actually reasonably priced! Maybe you can do us all a favour and press the button!
what a shame... btw, e78 got the balance wrong. It's not top heavy but even balanced as shown in the spec picture you've included. I've double checked the catalog and it states "282-288mm". Here's the Gosen racquet matrix. Those interested in the spec comparison table can see it in the catalog I've previously linked here. Roots Aermet Chronical is "BRACH" - stated as even balanced and even flex I'd assume it would be bang on the centre but no Never trust matrixes too much, feel like they just move things a little here and there to create more product distinction. Which is also why you should never do direct comparisons of matrixes between brands - they're always done in relation to their own products. It might not be the case for this racquet though maybe the Gavun shaft and Delta joint makes for a harder feeling despite medium flex
I have an earlier version of the roots aermet series and I dont find the gavun shaft as something of significance. Maybe it was revolutionary when it was first introduced but comparing it with newer racket with similar specification I cannot find the gosen racket as something superior.
I can feel it's flex and also the even balance. Tested for 3 games and absolutely not my type. It is very repulsive racket. Very difficult for me to control my clear shot. I sold one and still have one brand new (maybe I will look for trade in)
Regret buy? I've been waiting for review for this chronicle racket. I have a friend using root aermet but not chronicle, different version i forgot the number version. He like it so much, quite sharp for smash. But sadly he broke it last month after banging with his partner racket in a double game.
