I could be a TTY fan and kinda feel offended by the same post. TTY ticks all the 3 criteria also. We won’t really know who he’s referring to

First, minions have to pray more to get luckier in draw. This is the only thing that is out of their control

Maybe they should just drop in ranking to number 2 and maybe the luck would finally be on their side (like ahsan/hendra). still can't get over the fact that ahsan/hendra get like the easiest draw ever at the WC.

    And Matsu/Naga too.

Well they will break a new record next week for the longest consecutive weeks as WR1. But dropping the rank means they have to lose more often.. hmm.. not sure that's wise.

I agree on this. But its not about the draw, its about taking pressure off their shoulder. MD is really tough discipline, certain new combinations can kill you and they have been 120 weeks for WR1 , they already broke the record. It can only be as long before the tension rise again. I will say if they are seed 2 in OG, that will be better.

AhsanHendra not a young pair, so they need a little help from the draw. If they continously play rubber games, they will lose (like FuzhouOpen). But the other top 3 pairs, they shouldnt think this way.

He could even refer to Endo/Watanable. Endo struggle to win SS (which) i constitute big title.

or he could even refer to Ginting. I think Ginting has the highest artistic impression in Final or the whole tournament. While Minions have struggled the whole tournament. I dont think see much artistic in their game this time lol.

Well, all we can do is hope that the coaches have plan for minions, Gideon should already be aware of his weakness by now. It will take some time but I'm sure he can improve if he want to. Maybe a little bit more psychological training? Get slimmer :D:D:D?
In sport you need to keep adapting and improving anyway, or you will end up phase out like a few players (or pairs).
A bit off topic, but do association like PBSI has any sport psychologist?

    Super:D

Smashing back a smash, one of my favorite defense move by Kevin. Attacking is the best defense means literally.

I think they do. I remember reading article when Rian did some counseling the day before he left for WC.

Even with this, can't Marcus build his self confidence and keep his head held up high?

From some interviews seemed like Kevin didn't really care about the rankings as long as they winning tournaments. But it mattered to Marcus.

I read somewhere, it was after Ahmad & Natsir having simultaneous bad results in 2015, PBSI gave them some sort of communication training before Olympic 2016.

I do think minions need this session as well.

Yeah I hope Marcus as the older brother could give in and be more open. It could be more difficult for Kevin to be the initiator.

Yeah Kevin dont care about WR coz he only cares about the titles.WR1 for so long already.

I'm not sure where Kevin is a good motivator. I think he is a bad motivator. In that match especially. in g2 when they are winning, he isnt motivated at all. Gideon body language is still better in G2.

Perfect. This is what I have been voicing in many discussions. Luck is indeed required to win big tournaments :)

Absolutely agreed. Infact he sets a very very bad example. I like the rapport of AHS/SET or all Japanese players. Very very calm and composed. Their demeanour never seems to bother their opponents a bit. Thats how you should be. When you demotivate your own partner it just adds up to more frustrations which results in more mistakes.
