Kevin Sanjaya Sukamuljo/Markus Fernaldi Gideon win their 17th World Tour title (3rd Indonesia Masters in a row) with a straight-sets 21-15, 21-16 victory over the Daddies pair of Hendra Setiawan/Mohd Ahsan. Greysia Polii/Apriyani Rahayu win their 4th World Tour title (all Super 500 events), after a thrilling 18-21, 21-11, 23-21 victory over the surprise finallst of this week Maiken Fruergaard/Sara Thygesen! I thought the INA pair had lost it when the Danes had match pts at 20-19 and then 21-20; and it was Greysia Polii's turn to serve at 21-21! Anthony Sinisuka Ginting win his 3rd World Tour title (and 2nd Indonesia Masters title), beating the World No 3 Anders Antonsen 18-21, 21-15, 21-9. This is after 5 Runners-Up finishes in 2019! The next test will be in the Badminton Asia Team Championships next month, where Team INA will be coming with its first-team players, trying to defend their Men's Team title won in 2016 and 2018!

The waiting it's over for Anthony Ginting when he last time topped podium in Changzhou China Open (S1000), September 2018, 16 months. Big congrats to him and host INA to bag three titles after outright flop last week! Anders Antonsen stole opening game with his tactical play, responding well for most of Ginting attacking smashes and balances his tight netshot, but the Dane can't maintain consistency and control the drift properly in second then runs out of steam in deciding game, lack of speed and declining stamina, being smashed by his fast rival. Finally Ginting ends his final disappointment five times last season and converting to champion this time, beating Danish top ranked players in a row, expecting him more in All England next March. Match of the final day goes to women's doubles, credit to both pairs particularly the fighter Danish combination Fruergaard/Thygesen with dangerous attacking shots and strong defense as well that troubling the established Polii/Rahayu, the Indonesians prevail in critical stages, one lucky shot that touched the net gave home pair victory as the Dane can't retrieve appropriately, 23-21. This Super 500 title is very meaningful and moral booster for world number 8 that proving they're still exist and can compete with elite combinations, among Japan-Korea-China barricade. Another fascinating final was presented by women's singles, Ratchanok Intanon exploits excellent technical skill in first and third game, managed less error, displaying superb net play to create more opportunities to attack, staying calm and focus to eliminate the ambitious Carolina Marin who must satisfy to be runner up once again at her favourite venue, Istora Senayan. In all same nation affairs, practice session for mixed doubles, a lousy performance by Wang/Huang. Meanwhile the Minions create hat-trick here, extending their record against the Daddies, 21-15 / 21-16. In second game, they're losing focus suddenly after lead with big margin 12-3, looks like quite a bad habit lately by world number one. Family party in victory ceremony as the Daddies plus Markus bring their children standing together at podium. Ginting played remarkably well, a demonstration of how speed can make up for any lack in height and reach. Of course, you need to be consistent enough as well; otherwise, it defeats the purpose if you give away too many easy points. Congratulations to Ginting, must be heartening to succeed in front of your home crowd.

Yeah matches are much more exciting with the crowd. Normal stadiums are boring.. Crowd are chanting Intanon and Marin name. Probably in XD is the quietest as it gets, lousy match..and crowd doesnt know who to cheer.. Still Marin comeback (here) and Denmark WD is great story.. If they can just half replace JuhlPed
That kind of distraction shouldn't be allowed! I, for one, was trying hard to get my focus back on the (badminton) match only
I think what the organizer need to do is turn off the light around the court, so the player will have less distraction if they look at the spectators. You can't just tell the crowd to silence.
