hahaha...i thought any badminton player will know its the swing and head weight i am talking. guess i will just have to spell out everything(even thought i mentioned shifting the balance) for the one who dont use his brain. if you still dunno what is head weight, do a search. if you dunno how to do a search is ok. text here. we are more than happy to help fellow players so that they can understand their equipment better.
Finally, someone who knows its stuff. Please enlighten me and some fellow ignorami, how does the head weight and/or swing weight decrease with adding weight to the grip?
Put your racket on scale to measure the head weight like @visor recommend on the main page. Grip the racket an make the same measurement. It will be the same. If you still dunno what law of the lever is, do a search. if you dunno how to do a search is ok. text here. we are more than pissed to explain stubborn players the same rule over and over again.
Only if the racquet is weighed upside down on the head instead of the butt Sent from my SM-G965F using Tapatalk
Well, normally you can feel the balance if you're holding a racket. But if you swing it, you cannot feel the balance anymore. What you feel is the swingweight and not the balance. One weight is 5 gram: The other is 2 gram: Swingweight of this racket without a weight: Swingweight with 5 gram attached at the grip: Swingweight with 2 gram attached at the top: Swingweight with 7 gram attached at the grip: Hope that helps a little bit
Thanks. Maybe it's just a feeling that I get since by adding grip I shifted the balance. Now I can add more grip without fear of shifting the balance as I have big hands. Appreciate this. If only more could explain things logically like you.
So can I say that even with the added grip, the balance shifted and the racket will still remain the same power as before and won't become headlight?
I agree with u. I thought adding grip would shift balance and thus may have psychologically felt a lighter swing. You can see the reply after that it wasn't to explain or advise. Just an image to mock things. Which I dont think it's right. Thanks for the patience guys.
A free tip: A certain sense of humour and not taking yourself 100% seriously helps a lot when you're cruising through the internet and engaging with others. And come on, you have to admit that the meme was spot-on and plain awesome!
Thanks from the advise. Used to come bc and met many new friends to play badminton with, both local and local and abroad. Hope one day we can play some badminton together.
