That's the secret. 200 grams of beans with loads of acidic stuff and every spice known to man. As I majestically charge onto the court, it's like death itself has come aboard. The opponents on their knees gasping for clean air waving out their white flags i.e., handkerchiefs tied to rackets. When asked by the impressed practice partners of my victories in battle, I simply walk up to them and whisper into their ears; I'm Vegan.

Farts can also work as additional deception. :D For me too much protein turns me into a fog machine when I exceed 25-30g in one portion.

Doesn’t look too pretty, but it’s still one of my favourite pre-badminton meals:
Bircher Muesli, topped with self-made granola (I kid you not), honey and some fresh fruit:

I’ve lost the overview about who’s already been nominated, so I don’t give a damn and just say:

@thyrif, would you eat with me?

Post game food nowadays. Also, this would you eat with me line is really gonna help someone ask people out with confidence IRL.

Hailing from the boat of desperation here folks, would *anyone* eat with me?

    My (late) breakfast today...
    PSX_20200802_160441.jpg
Some fresh, homemade flat bread (@s_mair would like this nice yeast flavor for sure), an omlette with red and green peppers and some Feta, and a Greek salad without Feta, because the omlette stole it.

... yes, I just came back from Greece this week ;)

Maybe @LenaicM wants to join me for a breakfast like that?

crispy Haxe with Laugenknödel, Rotkohl, and Schwarzbiersauce

Since I'm uncreative, and it might give him chance to try Schwarzbiersauce, @s_mair would you eat with me? Don't worry, there's more....

Dude, that looks delicious! Although I doubt that it's beneficial for a great performance on court right afterwards... :)

If you just eat the knödel and a bit of rotkohl you would be steady to play. Just the fat of the haxe and the fat in the sauce will keep you away from the court. ;)

Okay, since we’ve apparently dropped the pre-post-workout thing as a mandate, here’s some greasy, non-veg lunch of today. Beef steak (hip) with a sauce of cognac, shallots, green peppercorns and cream. Along with some Spätzle (typical local pasta):

    Sorry for the bad lighting.

@kakinami, would you eat with me?

To be fair, my Haxe was a post competition dish... not saying that's the best idea, but it was.

Since I'm here anyway, the sauce isn't all that bad either. I steamed the Haxe with the beer, then didn't just take all that liquid as a sauce, but I let it cool down, so it gelatinized and I took away all the fat from the top. That way, I was able to cut sauce cubes that melted on the hot Knödel.

I’ll add that I did a solid 40 minutes home workout (HIT mostly) after my lunch.
Okay... like 8 hours and a 20-minutes nap afterwards (the Primitivo wine with lunch and bad weather didn’t leave me any chance), but still... I felt great!

Felt a bit italian today and went for a big pot of lasagne. The little ones were literally licking their plates clean, so I’ll take that as a good sign.

I’ve planned a little workout in the evening but I feel ready to go on court if that was on the table. Hands down, Italian food is the best.

I recently tried some dishes that even vegans could eat. All of them are pretty good food for athletes, overall, maybe not right before a competition, but certainly the night before or afterwards.

Greek (style) baked beans (they'd use the giant white beans that I didn't have at home).
    PSX_20201220_213227.jpg

A Shakshuka (did I spell that correctly?) inspired dish with chickpeas instead of eggs, served with some wild garlic bread (@s_mair would say wood garlic, maybe a native speaker can tell us what's correct/more common for Bärlauch?).
    PSX_20201220_214125.jpg

    Some filled and baked eggplant.
    PSX_20201220_214135.jpg

And, because it's Christmas time and my name is speCulatius.... the dessert is Spekulatius!

Anybody is invited to eat with me, but I'll specifically tag @Dave1011 @Nine Tailed Fox @swsh to choose a dish...
