He need to bring that deceptive unpredictable aspect to his game, also may be shots can be more sharper and precise (why Kento why). Lets see what he can do here.
I had seen bad performances by Indian players but I haven't been this disappointed ever before. Also when he was struggling DK Sen(father/coach) suggested to play safe and then HKV pounced on LS. He need to play tactically and move opponent well, his game today was easy to anticipate and very monotonous. If he want to become like CL etc, he need to be that consistent, physically strong and tactically agile. May be just a bad day but kid got a lot to learn.
Also LS need to move out of PPBA and come to PGBA, he doesn't have inspirational and competitive peer group in PPBA.
Ohh man that was hard to watch. The guy got eaten alive in second game. Third game, he had chances to capitalise when he narrowed down the lead. He's so unpredictable, one day he'll lose to unknown Austrian player in first round of Denmark IC and another day he'll beat Christie Jonathan in two games. Two sides of Lakshya playing lol. Not at all good, man. If you see his last year matches and this year matches records, you'll see he has won all titles by beating players who are above wr35. Only players (who are regulars in WTS 300 or 500+) he have won against is JC, LCY and LKY. He has lost to Tanongsak, HKV (before at Malaysia Masters qualifiers), SWH. So yeah, he's untested against top players. He really needs to work hard. Two days ago, he was doing well change of pace etc but today again same lakshya playing monotonous game (I know opponents matter but still). Really wanted to see Nishi vs Lakshya
“I was basically in no condition to play. For the last one and a half months, I’ve trained for one week, and I feel terrible right now, but Lakshya gave away the second game. He should never have done that; had he played full out in the second game I would’ve been carried out. My right leg is gone. I started cramping at 1-0 in the second game and was struggling from then on but I felt Lakshya was not confident on court. To prolong the adventure for one more day is so nice. For the first time in my career I’m in the quarterfinals here. I’ve never performed well here.”Vittinghus said
Perhaps DK Sen tested positive for coronavirus, which forced LS to withdraw. Hope he recovers soon Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Hello guys, long time. Had to ask, is lakshya traveling to thailand on his own? Coz I didn't see his pic with other members of the team (Gopi academy gang) before departing for Thailand. Checked the draws, he's scheduled to play in both tournaments. Ps- just checked the news. Lakshya pulls out of both tournaments due to back injury.
Another missed chance by him. Should have taken advantage of this depleted draw and played to his potential. Instead, we witnessed so many UE and uncharacteristic play from him. I'll still ask am I having excessive expectations from him ? Or he's young so he'll learn ? Only time will tell. Tough times to be an Indian badminton fan. No light at the end of the tunnel as of now.
Sometimes I felt, he became clueless how to finish the rally when opponent keep on retrieving. Mark did excellent today. He used his height so well.
Didn't I tell you guys do not praise too much of him, forget what he had achieve in junior years. He's no where in the senior circuit. Back to the basic and drawing board.
Any links for Lakshya vs Kiran George match? Today he plays Christo Popov, if anyone gets the link please share it here. Thanks .
Loses again. Should have won this tournament as he was no1 seed. Haven't watched the match. How did he play ?
Passive for the most part, without trying to challenge anything at the net. I couldn’t see any improvements in his game after the long break. But on the other hand, BY looks like a promising talent. I have never watched him play before. His play style is pretty similar to that of KV Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
