86kg swing wieght for 3u one and only 82.5kg for 4u - so it seems to be quite headlight

i guest Victor Ars100 not quite attractive coz we had good discussion about 90K/S here on their new release.

hhhmmm... Quite surprising the daddies turn into head light when they side to Victor now.

Maybe next Victor will release duo brother racket like AX88S/D & F10P/Q.

ahsan setiawan used nanoray 900 during their Yonex run so not surprised, although for them I'm sure Victor will be more than willing to give them rackets of custom specs

I've been using Victor free-core rackets for almost 1 year.
In terms of performance, they are almost as good as Mizuno Made-in-Japan rackets while the price is significantly lower. Of course there are some drawbacks like paint chip and sunken grommets. I hope Victor can be more careful about high tension market.

The 3u ARS-100X has a swing weight of around 87.
    Power is very good
Initial shuttle speed is very good
Accuracy is very good ( Not as excellent as I would expect from a Victor-X racket )
User-Friendly is not so good, it's about extra-stiff. ( Easy to get used to it if the stiffness is not a problem )

It has all the good stuff of previous free-core rackets and is literally an extra-stiff version of JS12II.

hmm... i think the character of extra stiff pyrofil carbon shaft material, If the head is not heavy enough, it'll not easy to bend the shaft to generates big power from backcourts.

but, it have good accuracy and initial shuttle speed. very good at mid front area.

I'm curious about ahsan for the next tournament, will he still use the 100x and adapted playing style. or changes to any other victor series and continue play like he use f10p.

The Shaft is not hard to bend. What may be harsh for full smash is the frame stiffness.
The frame is very stiff for faster initial shuttle speed in push/drive.
However, for Ahsan, the minimized shuttle holding time might be a problem.
Alternatively, if Ahsan can smash like Setiawan, the problem is solved.

Could we also say it's a head heavier version of the ARS-98K since it's extra stiff or is the frame not as sharp as the 98k's?

So is this racquet head light or head heavy?

How does this racquet compared to other rackets like ARS-90K or JS 10 or JJS?

    Comparing with 90K ,
100X has better control, better maneuverability, smaller yet more solid sweet spot, shaft repulsion is about the same.
100X's frame & string bed is much stiffer than 90K's.

I’ve contacted a local shop and they said that victor did a recall and won’t be available in Vancouver Canada for another 3-4 months.

No idea, the local shop didn’t say what the recall was. And I doubt that the victor rep would tell anyone.... a new racquet that is set to be released recalled already; does not win confidence from consumers. I just hope it’s nothing like the sinking grommet issue of Jetspeed 10.
I’m trying to be positive though, I guess it’s a good thing victor caught whatever the defect is before ramping up international production volume and distribution.

I am from Hong Kong. As far as I know, the semi- transparent cone is too easy to break, hence they recall the rackets.

For the next batch of the rackets, it will not use the semi-transparent cone any more.
