That was a quick match, service errors (many) helped ofcourse lol.
Good to see Chirag committing on follow-ups and Satwik mixing his attack more frequently.

Liew Daren better take some chances at the net or else he's in dire straits. Won't be able to push around axelsen on the back court

Well two wrongs don't make one right... This one was way more obvious too. You could hear vittinghus say something in the lines of "sorry, hong kong open final" as they were leaving the court lol

at 19-19 he got bad ref call, vittinhus clearly touched the middle part of net. But to be fair the angle for the ref was not great to see it.
I like Lee , he has that menacing look about him with the edgy tattoos. Ginting now goes to world tour finals.

I think about Karma, but how stupid umpire when saying: "two people see the same thing, the shuttle touch the net, not the racket".

BWF should allow video challenges for issues at the net too ..... area for improvement.

Yes, you can clearly hear it when he was collecting his stuff getting ready to leave the court.

You have to feel sorry for LCY (Ginting too for that matter). It's a nice gesture when players take responsibility for the umpire's flaws (Axelsen is the only player I've seen do that tho), but it can't be expected of them. There has to be some sort of review system for technical faults

versus Chou Tien Chen, but in this case Viktor leading the points.

It's not a deciding point, so that I'm not sure Viktor will ^-^

To be fair, Axelsen had a comfortable lead in that match against CTC when he gave the point back. I'm pretty sure that if something like that happened at 19-19, he'd take the point. You win some, you lose some. It's part of the game unfortunately.

to spice it up, its Ginting that takes LCY place which is the last spot in MS WTF. not bad for an extra 20,000 prize money (for what he lost in HKO really)

I hope Srikanth is cleared to play next week.

These things all even themselves up over the course of a career. Vittinghus has been on the tour for 15+ years and I’m sure it’s went against him just like it’s went in LCY favour last year. Non issue for me. Agree that they should be able to review it with a challenge though.

Yeah more than anything else, Vittingus deserves the SF spot as well.

If he can go to the Final, i think its his 2nd biggest achievement other than winning the decider in ThomasCup ( which is kinda ironic too that INA is supporting him lol)
