we live in an age when anyone can easily make a documentary about anything.

it shows what one athlete has done/is doing to fulfill their desire to become the greatest in the history of their sport, by taking a different route from a different environment than badminton's past greatest players. it's a rollercoaster of ups and downs.

a must see for any badminton fan!

2 ss/wt750+ in 2 weeks. All wins in 2 straight sets. Marin did it 2 time before, australia open 2015 and japan open 2017 (but this one she only have to play 4 matchs)

Absolutely stunning performances. These past two weeks are another proof of one thing: Carolina Marin in her best shape on a normal day is currently unbeatable. Period.

And if she manages to have a smooth preparation phase before the Olympics, she will -again- be going for gold.

Amazing footwork speed. Looks like she's just floating on the court. Almost like LCW and LD...

It is said that her ambition is to be the best female singles player ever. I don’t think she is far off. Just think she could be a little bit quieter about it!

In your opinion where does she rank now among the greats?

    Zhang Ning - 2 Gold, 1 WC, 27 titles (IBF, SS) 80% W/L ratio
    Marin - 1 Gold, 3 WC, 23 titles (WT, SS, GPG,IC) 77% W/L ratio

I think if Marin win this year Olympics she will surpass Zhang.

Why always Olympic, so that World Champion is just a normal tournament ?

You win Olympic, this means you are the number 1.

You are World Champion, this also means you are the number 1.

Is there a way to ban these useless GOAT-discussions once and for all? Please?
If the LD/LCW-threads has taught us one thing - they make no sense at all and always end up with angry posters all over the place.

but we haven't come to end, and nothing toxic yet? Instead of banning subject, should have a GOAT discussion topic and stop mention it in other thread

I love how the title Greatest Of All Time technically assumes that there will never be anyone greater. Just that assumption completely invalidates the title of GOAT. Isn't it enough to appreciate players for their skill and acknowledge what they've accomplished.

I am also Greatest Of All Time during my era. The difference is that the other players didn't take part in those tournaments that I took part in.:D

    Btw, congrats Marin.
