The “trend” is not in place now.

Frankly speaking, I am surprised a lot of players didn’t go ten days before the tournament starts. It’s not as if other tournaments have had their issues with quarantine rules. The run of Thai tournaments earlier this year needed players to quarantine beforehand. The Indonesian medical advisor might have been a bit better on this.

The tennis Australian open was a really good example of the strictness of quarantine rules.

In a way, luckily this tournament has no Olympic ranking points. It’s tough.

I note that Indonesians love a conspiracy theory. I bet their federation won’t be taking any chances for the team going into the Olympic Games and will make arrangements to go 4-6 weeks beforehand. If there is a player with positive test then, at least there will be at least two weeks recovery period before the start of the Olympics.

They won't explain. As it has happened before too. In 2019 China super 750 tournament match bw SatwikChirag and LiLiu, there was a Chinese service judge. In India Super Series too, Indian umpires and service judges are there for matches involving Indian players. If I'm not wrong @samkool has mentioned it before.

Kanta Tsuneyama has improved ? /or the opponent is so weak?. No idea.
From what I see, I can say he has improved tremendously.

Yesterday, Gemke "jumped-smashed" too much, it has a cost.

And Tsuneyama was playing better than Nishimoto.

Maybe its time to promote USA for the venue for international badminton tournament. Coming to the US doesn't require quarantine and many states doesn't have restriction anymore.

they should stop the 7 players from playing. They should realise they have made wrong decision, its not too late to admit they made mistakes. Since they thought everything will be fine. Everything is fine until its not.

the worst thing the worst thing is hours after that, it happened to INA team.. then bang! The whole thing just unravels. had it happened to Malaysia or India team, i dont think the GV will do so much to be honest/ even talk about the 7 positives.
