Li Ning's newest racket is Tectonic 9, Jonathan used it in his only AE match.

Using a Windstorm 72. It's so light but powerful I feel like a fairy winding a magic wand!

Anyone here have any experience with the Aeronaut 5000/6000? Can't find them in any racket matrix and am curious about how they stack up compared to the rest and how they feel.

Aren't 5000/6000 series the midrange ones?
even so I would recommend you to try the 9000C, if you haven't already, rest everything are just the same frame with specs from QC variances ;-P

Exactly what I was looking for. Thanks man!

Yeah they are, I'm curious if they're a bang-for-your-buck option as the price difference is indeed significant and they still have a very decent guaranteed tension limit (anyone remember the good ol' 20/22 days...? :D). Only played briefly with a single mid-range racket so I really don't have a good idea what they're like.

Jackie, no worries! And I have the same opinion but for calibar series, the 600 combat has caught my several times. Never tried any of the calibar series but it takes 30lbs and reasonably priced.

Off topic but as we are talking about midrange I would highly suggest you give Apacs Assailant Pro 3U or 4U a try. Even balance, It has a normal big head, which leads to a diffuse sweetspot at low tensions, but a nice 28+ lbs stringjob will rattify it and give you that pop back.

Only interested in LN for now ;) also I've never seen Apacs really available in Europe, so even if that weren't the case I'd probably not risk getting a brand I have no experience with, can't test, and have to pay a lot of shipping fees for (defeating the bang-for-buck point :D).

So far, I’ve only played the 600B for a couple of shots. I’d say that it’s the direct successor of the 3D80TD and delivers what you’d expect. Solid performer.

Such a shame that smoof hasn’t survived the pandemic. They really had the perfect lineup for my liking these days.

I honestly don't quite know what the issue was, but it's a shame indeed. I had had high hopes for that shop, they offered everything I (or anyone in my club for that matter) needed, and service was good. But selling mainly badminton equipment doesn't seem to be very profitable in Germany, or the EU overall...I'll thoroughly miss being able to try on shoes instead of sending half of them back because they don't fit
I'll see whether I can get my hands on a AN6000 to test. Specs are wildly different depending where you look, the racket matrix in the catalogue probably slightly exaggerates some rackets - C800 doesn't feel THAT HH to me compared to the TC75C or battle axes like the AN8000C, for example

I wouldn't rely on that matrix. A good example would be turbocharging 70 with a 295bp and 70c with a 290bp. 70c is 1g heavier than 70 but yet way higher on the matrix. I guess the chart is more swing power than head heaviness, but as you say, a bit exaggerated.

    Me too

I own a badminton shop, have the opportunity to taste diff rackets from low end to high end, but always come back to windstorm 72 for my go to racket

Easy on the arm, defense is a breeze, but have to be creative on offense because cant rely everything on smashes

It's interesting to see how watanabe switches back from the 9000i to the 9000c when playing mixed doubles. His smash with 9000i is still pretty darn powerful.

I hadn't even realized haha I just assumed he plays with the C all the time :D although they actually name the regular 9000 after him. Good colorway too, might check that one out. Specs on it are a bit unreliable, sadly :S

Never mind, google translate comes to rescue.

"Raid 9, the best Li-Ning badminton racket I have ever played. There is no one, and the N65 badminton line that will be on the market right away is very good. You should pay attention to it in the future"

Clearly a very positive review, though something is missing regarding N65 line etc.
