The last time I went there was more than 6-7 years ago though. So I'm not sure how it looks like now. It was decent at that time and could be a bit blinding, especially when the sun sets. They do 15 minutes rotation if I'm not mistaken.
Hi Garry, Do you guys still plan to play on Monday? what time you play? is there a place for new person.
Hey guys, I am planning to start up a new badminton facility in GTA. I have made a few questions in a survey. It would be great if you complete the survey and let me know what you think. Thank you Please take my survey! https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/2ZKNDJV
Interested in playing again, pandemic stopped me from playing regularly. Live in Markham area, prefer doubles. Please let me know if you know any locations!!! @Arun, completed your survey, good luck bud.
Canada Elite Badminton club in Vaughan has opened up and they are conducting meet ups regularly. Sent from my SM-N986W using Tapatalk
Several clubs have closed down for good unfortunately. Hopefully the fire can keep burning because despite the lockdowns the demand is still there
Hey, Sorry, I haven't been active in the forum. I had stopped going there regularly way before the COVID started. Most of us went to Commander to play as it's closer to where we live but this was prior to the pandemic time. Garry
Hi Ashwani, No, we haven't been going there for a while now. Since last year, some of us haven't visited any badminton centres to play. Thanks, Garry
With the current lockdown in place, just curious if anyone has ever tried outdoor badminton? My wife and I have been playing badminton outdoor these past few days on the lot of public school near Van Horne and Brian Drive. The weather has been cooperating aside from rains here and there these past few days. Especially, yesterday, it was one of the less windy days and was perfect day for outdoor badminton. The lot itself is partially enclosed by the school building so during the less windy days, outdoor badminton is playable. If anyone happen to live in the Sheppard and Victoria Park neighborhood and don't mind hitting some birdies and get some exercises outdoors, feel free to PM me, maybe we can arrange some outdoor badminton sessions together. Thanks, Garry
My boyfriend and I went to play outside recently, but on top of having lost my timing due to not playing for so long, it was unplayable due to the wind. We just ordered a few AirBadminton Shuttles from Lee's Badminton and will try them out though!
Try to find a partially enclosed space outdoor. I found that the high walls of high school buildings in our neighborhoods help to block the wind. My wife and I have been playing with the regular nylon birdies consistently (almost every day) there since last month. Also, what I notice is that when the wind speed outside is under 20km/ hour, I can still go out and play. If it's under 10km/ hour, quickly pack your badminton stuff and head out. That would be the perfect day for badminton lol if you manage to find a good spot to play, the wind won't bother you on that day. It feels like playing indoor even though you are outdoor. Please let me know if Air Badminton shuttles make differences. I have been contemplating to get some but I have heard it's not good for the string. People said Air Badminton shuttles are recommended to be played with lower string tension (under 20 lbs). Thank you! Garry
