Ahsan/Setiawan favorites probably. They have Li/Liu's number.

If Ahsan / Setiawan win against Lee / Wang, I'd say the Indonesians are the favourites.

Who knows though, Li / Liu *have* won a big one (WC), but still aren't as experienced as the Indonesians.

After watching the way Malaysian team took on Indonesia and also the way Taipei team have been playing after their 1st loss,I say these two roadblocks are good enough to stop them.
Personally, I would want Daddies to Win as they somehow seem to absorb any amount of pressure in any big events but Taipei seems just too good at the moment.

That's in normal circumstances. Li/Liu did the CHN yesterday and come back to win. Considering the trend, I think Li/Liu are the favourites.

One match at a time. Upsets can happen. Let's see if Li/Liu can beat Chia/Soh first. And if Daddies overcome WCL/LY.

Both could be a toss up tbh.

I don’t support China. I like the underdogs. But I have to give it to China for their mental strength. Almost all of them lost first set, come back at the rubber to win it. Hmm… Salute.

The past Head to Heads have immense impact on many players. I bet if Minions would have faced Japan they would have this thing lingering in their head and affect their performance.

    What is interesting is

Taipei seems to have found answers to Daddies. Malay on one day were being dominated by Daddies but credits to them to defeat Minions.

And Daddies have always been able to find answers to the Tower Dudes.

Just the major Taipei roadblock for them

I feel like Yuta isn't motivated.

Edit: Well just when I say that

Watanabe / Higashino playing for pride, really.

Japan would be medal-less this time round otherwise (if Yamaguchi doesn't get through).

All Chinese competitors intact in the tournament till now (except WD). This is amazing. Great performance from Polii/Rahayu to at least take one out. Chinese team look invincible.
