From my memory, AA had a decent power smash, I don’t know why he didn’t use it today, he kept playing so defensive. He even served high a few times, tempting Ginting to smash it, which is very rare in MS. Weird strategy by AA. Congrats to Ginting for the win.
Ginting is a true inspiration, not a joke like SYQ who has 0 inspiration and just surrendered pathetically, 0 passion.
I started watching when Antonsen was up 14-11, so I think it's fair to say I completely changed the momentum of this match. There is no need to thank me - well done to Ginting, but also well done to me.
Those cross court smashes were really brave from Ginting. Great match. Hope to see a VA and Ginting final.
Well, Ginting doesnt have a losing records against AA/CL/CTC and also defeated Momota the most times from all other competitors. If you were to hand a medal, you have to hand it to him. He has losing records against VA and SYQ
AA barely has anything left in the tank, he looks green from the beginning of the match. I'm surprised that he gets this far to the match. Very wise of Ginting to tone down the jump smash in G3 and change to a more controlled play to conserve energy. Normally when Ginting gets tired, he tries to smash harder to end the rallies quickly.
No country beats Japan when it comes to announcement of players coming in. They just create this vibe
very strange that a game plan was just to wait for ASG mistakes and play so passively, but Anthony scored with very good reverse slice smashes, and when Antonsen saw that plan is crumbling he started to make mistakes himself (overdid flat pushes, lifts were of poor quality) thus very deserved win for Anthony
I didnt watch the VA vs SYQ but I believe that SYQ doesnt match up well vs Axelsens style (and height?) and hence it was very one sided Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
