fine line between confidence and arrogance. Lzj thinks he's the better player , so does momota But you guys call it arrogance. Fair enough.
Of course Momota was arrogant, I see it on his face, but not the gesture Lee Zii Jia do it twice ON COURT
I wish I had time to show you each and every celebration and smug face of LZJ. But i don't. It seems to me people have different level of tolerance for these kind of things anyway.
Ginting won Momota in 2018 at Momota's peak in final match, why people don't hate Ginting ? Why people don't say that Ginting was arrogant ? When Antonsen won Momota in Indonesia in final match and take of his T-shirt to throw to the audience, why people don't say that Antonsen was arrogant ? BUT Lee Jii Zia, at a normal match meaningless match to me ^-^
Im just confused. I dun see how momota or lzj is arrogant and definitely not ginting. Everyone celebrates in their own way, more if it’s meaningful or a big win etc no? Like for example, in football, ronaldo or messi scores, take off their shirt and run to the fans, arrogant too? maybe I should play more close attention to the player’s expressions individually next time they play ♀️
Watch at 47:54 - this is not a good attitude at least in my opinion. Momota could have done that when he defeated him but he did not. Yes he celebrated after the match and after meeting with LZJ. His celebration was mostly following the encouragement / cheers of his team.
i know what you mean, but dont think its arrogance. He genuinly believes he's better than momota. i can see why you'd think its arrogance, since obv to you and everyone else they are very close. It's kind of in nature of their style, Momota has the best defence and LZJ has very good attack. anyways cant wait for their next duel. gn
^-^ Not just about this match, not because of "Momota". I will show you more in the future, when he plays with others
Try to keep an open mind about it and you will see. I really don't like Antonsen but Antonsen is much better than him in attitude.
Yeah, twice I saw LZJ pointing to his head after winning a point ,I take it that he's reminding himself to stay focused and keep to the strategy and tactics adopted that's working so far. He wasn't even looking at his opponent when he did that gesture which wasn't celebratory, so how can it has anything to do with arrogance? Come on, let's give LZJ the credit he deserved, it was a well-fought match, entertaining , quality badminton against a Momota that his fans claimed is coming back, albeit not 100% yet. To the Momota fans who are feeling sore about it, you guys are giving all sorts of excuses for Momota's loss after the fact and at the same time trying to put down LZJ's well-earned victory by criticizing his so-called arrogant manner which appeared to me to be playing to the Malaysian gallery and we all know how badminton-crazy Malaysian fans can be whenever their hero won. So, I'd just let them enjoy their day and LZJ has his five minutes of fame and vainglory, if you like. Team MAS didn't beat Team JPN to the final and LZJ didn't win any prize or title for his effort, just personal satisfaction for having exacted his revenge for his earlier loss to the same player whom I'm sure he held in the utmost respect as otherwise he wouldn't be so elated with is hard-won achievement. It's merely something for the Malaysian fans to celebrate about, perhaps a consolation for losing the tie and ending their quest for the Sudirman Cup. I think, it's more an indication of how hungry Malaysia is for another badminton star to arise after their most favoured national hero ,Lee Chong Wei, is retired and there's no one who can come close to filling his shoes just yet. As for LZJ, if he is really that arrogant and get carried away with this little success, including just one All-England title to speak of, well, be careful, pride goes before a fall.
Please, I told that I want Momota "walk over" this match before starting the match. It's a meaningless match to me. Why I have to be sad when Japan go to final match ? Momota will lose something after this match ??? no no and no. And not because of Momota, I see Lee did it with other players https://j.gifs.com/PjY7o2.gif
That's your interpretation of his head-pointing gesture. I mean, imagine if Chou Tien Chen had beaten Momota yesterday and we are familiar with how he usually celebrates his victory, would any of you guys slam him for being arrogant, conceited cocky, swaggering to such an unbearable degree as you're doing to LZJ's celebratory gestures? Let's put it in perspective, I doubt Momota himself even notice or mind what or how LZJ celebrated or gestured. I guess to each his own.
