To put in nutshell if they would organize their usual trainings (twice a day, six times a week) the way that it was suggested ("several times harder" than a competitive game) then their bodies disintegrate in a month. If you need broader understanding of the matter you could go deeper into sport science. This science is relatively young and discussions of it's conceptions here would definitely start a good old Holly War )))

Yes structured training take into consideration rest days and so on for best gains. However, it seems to me, based on discussions I have had, not every team are really using 'sports science'. They are still using traditional methods.

But even then - training cannot be compared to actual matches in competition. First of all there is the mental aspect of being in an actual competition - you make mistakes during training it is all good. You make mistakes or someone score on you in a competition it is a different beast. The risk is on a whole different level.

It also depends on the 1 match. If both players are quite evenly matched then they both have to give their best - max power max pace max focus max control - all of that combined is super taxing.

Except for few times Aya Ohori made unforced errors and questionable shot making and hence she lost

I don’t think South Korea should have split choi and seo up. They are their current best bet for MD. Now they don’t have any.

    Me, a little.
I didn't notice that during the WC final but it's more prominent lately.

Didnt this Hoki beaten by HeJiting twice. Missing CHN MD pairs is a boon for these aspiring players lol.

Marin is established top player feels like she has the right to scream all day. This Hoki , meanwhile keep screaming all day after 1 title or 2. Lol.

i bet if the fans are present , i think they will be blown away until their screams nonexistent because they wont be able to live with the pressure and decibels

I missed a few mins beginning of the match between JP XD Nishikawa/Ozaki vs Praveen/Melati. I was busy eating dinner. All of the sudden, the Japanese pair retired already. Did anyone catch what happened? Did Ozaki get injured?

Among the Japanese athletes that I know, he and Tomokazu Harimoto are the two I find most annoying with screams/shrieks. Always have to mute the videos every time watching them play, though I'm kinda interested with Yugo Kobayashi.
