Yep. That was an invite to all. Now this is specific to VA. Like how VA invited them

Told u sk will win. But stupidly stretched by sen.

Need miracle shot of the day to beat lky. AA was trying to avoid half court shots. I guess everyone wants to know how to beat lky now. I will post later....

It will take a rally player to beat him. Cant see it at the moment. Wakaka. ;)

In this current era, Momota is the only name that comes to my mind when it is about rallying opponents down to the ground. Jojo is somewhat of a rally player, too.

I wonder if momota, Christie and Ginting were here or even SYQ and chen long, would things be different? Not taking anything away from the two finalists, juz wondering how big the impact of their absence was.

It would have definitely made an impact if they were at their best level which they weren't so.

    Maybe Christie ok.

But these 3, Momo, Ginting and SYQ were still not at their best level.

Feels like LKY playstyle is like Ginting, except Ginting is better at his peak with better deception and net skills. Think the way to beat LKY is like the way to beat Ginting, keep them away from the net and sometimes do long blocks on their smashes to prevent follow ups. The few times Antonsen did them today, it didn’t seem LKY had a good way to deal with it.

He has done very well getting this far, but he is very dependent on his speed and “try his luck” type of smashes. Don’t think SK is likely the player that will expose it, but LKY’s path to the top is far from guaranteed once people figure him out, like they did with Ginting.

Interesting question. IMO, had they played,VA, KM, and AA were the favorites. Having defeated two of them, I feel LKY, had he played like this, could have made it to the finals

It would have been for the whole other players but for LKY, looking at the draw. Even if those players are here, it wouldnt have make the difference. He beaten Axelsen and Antonsen. Expected 2 tough matches and boogey player like Wangcharoen and Prannoy (who recently beat Axelsen). Overall deserved it ( and not with the help of the draw/ absences)

The same cant be said with Men Double though.

    Don't jinx it:D

He might crumble to his nerves in this big final, you can never know with such young players at such big events...

No player can handle.lky at the moment. Need to train up the skill.

U notice many shots will be hammered by lky if half court. Many still dreaming playing their usual game.

Lky style is close to Hariyanto Arbi devastating smashing form. Frieghtening speed. ;)

Yea I feel he is similar with Ginting. But he makes less errors and better defense. But I believe Chou Tien Chen may know the way to beat him as I recall he did beat him quite convincingly recently.

As usual, Malaysia FAILs again in big events. With time goes by, more and more countries will register their first ever World Champion/Olympic gold medallists while Malaysia is still collecting silver/bronze metal scraps.

Malaysians in the future should lie low and not tell the rest of the world that their best sport is badminton. It's embarrassing.

Even India is ahead at Malaysians.

BAM, Sports Ministry and Malaysian society as usual need to do a MAJOR reflection in this.

Even Denmark this year did not win any gold medals but everyone still knows that Denmark is good at badminton.

I have faith in Malaysian players. I don't think gold should be looked as the only criteria for success and even if it is,Malaysia has won gold in badminton events such as junior championships and Paralympics. Are these not considered big events also?
