I wear Yonex normally but looking for shoes that give superior grip. After a while the hex pattern on the soles wear and become slippy even after a clean. Wondering if those two-part soles (like some Ashaway) are better? isn't there a shoe with a grippier rubber?

The Eclipsion Z new tread is very grippy. It's also used on the new Aerus Z.

Thanks - it looks to have the same hex pattern on the sole of all other Yonex shoes, and presumably is made of the same material (?).

Nope these two new yonex shoes use a new pattern and the material seems to be different.

I've found the Eclipsion to be excellent for grip and stability. I haven't tried the Aerus Z yet.

The aerus z still has the hexagrip sole. You might be confusing it with the new 65z3 which has the some sole pattern as the eclipsion

There seem to be two versions of Eclipsion Z, some with the hex pattern on the sole and others with the new 'tyre' pattern (?). On ebay uk they are all hex patterned. Looks like it is the Eclipsiion Z2 that has the new grip sole.
