That might work in slower playing condition, but you still not gonna win a lot of tournament with that kind of playing style...I mean beside those two AE how many titles did endo/yuta won ?
So if Watanabe can keep healthy and maintain his form, it's a matter of Japan finding a partner that is good enough to match Watanabe. Endo was that partner for Watanabe, when they won the All England twice, beating the Minions too. Watanabe is a genius though in doubles. He is so good, XD or MD. He just needs a partner that can match his talent.
But Endo didn't play long with Watanabe at his peak. Watanabe peaked about 3 years ago, when he first won with Endo. Remember, Endo was paired with Hayakawa for the longest time, before Hayakawa retired.
I think he can if jojo performed as he did today. But as u say, nth guaranteed. Jojo is not off form, he is just inconsistent
