How to deal with high arch feet while playing badminton? Looking for common solutions to deal with the issue. Any good insole suggestion would be great, thanks.
I got this article when I was reading sometimes ago and might be useful to likewise. https://racketrampage.com/why-do-your-feet-hurt-after-badminton/
yeah, pain reduced after I started tying by shoe laces very loose. I want to know if people face the issue and what they do about it.
I saw a guy that had something in his shoe that helped him with his high arch. You could experiment. I will ask him.
They use https://www.shoeinsoles.co.uk/sidas-3feet-active-insoles-for-high-arches.html There is a machine by that company that tells you if you have a low/med/high arch . Quite a basic machine. And you already know you have a high arch. Also I saw a shop a while back with a machine that made a custom insole Based on the mould of the foot Some high end shops that sell running shoes can measure other things and give insoles for that eg they can check for overpronation.
Custom orthotics might help but can be pretty expensive. Medical insurance may or may not defray the cost. Or you might try a semi-custom orthotic insole. CustomFit insoles from Dr Scholl's might be almost as good but much less expensive. Some stores that sell orthotic inserts have Dr Scholl's foot mapping kiosks. The foot mapping system will tell you which one of their 14 or so Custom Fit insoles is appropriate for you.
