India Maharashtra international challenge is happening . Indian second stringers participating. In semifinals today, Kiran george lost to Meiraba and .Ravi lost to Mithun manjunath.
Except Sindhu and saina , all second stringers participated . To my surprise, Ruthvika shivani gadde participated. She reached finals. I wondered where she went. She was the only one who has beaten Sindhu in a final of a tournament. But, her physicality made her to retire I thought. But all of a sudden she is playing and entered finals. Good to her.

Ruthvika shivani gadde lost tamely to japanese player miho kayama in the final. Only Unnati hooda had a tough fight against this japanese player , match went to 3 games with 18- 21 in the 3rd game against this japanese player. Even Tasnim Mir lost to this girl in straight games. Japanese girl is 24 years old.
In 2 days, Unnati hooda going to celebrate her 15th birthday. For 15 year old, she is good. I have too much expectations from her.

Apparently Meiraba is currently training at PPBA. Does anyone know since when? I saw his celebratory picture with his coaching team, which had DK Sen in it

Dhruv kapila/ Arjun won their first international title.
Coach Boe and Gopichand strictly told them to win Maharashtra IC or else they have to play only ICs until they win one. At last they won. Hence they withdrew from odissa IC

She had been struggling with various injuries i suppose. Rutvika and Rituprna Das were predicted to takeover from Saina and Sindhu.. Doesnt look like. Good result for Rutvika.

In vietnam open today, Shankar muthuswamy defeated Tommy sugiarto in 3 games. I never ever considered him as future of indian badminton because of his style. He is so defensive and he does not know how to finish a rally. Hope he learns in future. Next month, he will represent India in world junior championships. Let's see how he play there.
Here is the video of him playing Tommy.

When you hear the talks of India doing well in international competitions on one side and on the other side , hearing the news of SaiPraneeth winning the National games 2022 , really hurts . Still India need to grow a lot. Where are next generation players?. If a lazy penguin can win a national games title , I mean how could you even consider the next generation as upcoming. Really a disaster.

Actually, sen didn't participate. Leaving him, next generation players like kiran, mithun and meiraba etc are mere one time pony to me. Let's give Meiraba benefit of doubt. He is just 19. Watched Mithun in the finals, I must say, he is not the next big thing . We can't expect him getting medals. And Meiraba, Shankar, Varun all these teenagers definitely struggling to make a mark in senior circuit. We have only Sen who could take the torch forward so far.

Good news guys. You people have been asking about poor performances of our WD ( Aswini and Sikki). And now for all of you, the news is they have decided to split and both of them decided to play XD with younger partners. Aswini decided to partner with Sai prateek and sikki decided to partner with Rohan kapoor. Aswini wants to see how it goes and expect to qualify for Paris.
    Is it possible?
