it is funny that it new one looks thicker almost everywhere, may be because of the (wide) angle in pictures :)

Or it could be darker color tends to look "chunkier" than lighter color when placed side-by-side. Definitely a looker for sure & hopefully it plays slightly different than the OG (stiffer, slightly heavier heaad, etc).

first impressions is that it is slightly head heavier and generates more power, as compared to the first gen blue bs12, when smashing.. it is also more stable and solid, less vibration when in contact with the shuttle. Racket speed is still awesome as ever, counter attack and drives are insanely quick and the sword frame cuts through the air with much ease. Net kills are also very very quick.. in my opinion, the bs12 is the best sword frame racket ever. no other racket with a sword frame comes close to the bs12..

it does feel every so slightly thicker and beefy... but I cant be sure as I don't have vernier callipers to measure the thickness and diameters..

good news for me and everyone who always wished the BS 12 would be slightly stiffer

BS 12 original would have been right in the center of that stiffness rating (3/5), whereas this one is a 4/5

The gift box looks kinda empty and the rackets don't come with a grip (probably to show off the freecore) .

Bag looks nice, shoes too but not too familar with that model.

I'm still throwing money at the screen tho. Gift Box looks cosmetically a bit different too.

It will be interesting to see whether some of the new tech will help the playability of the BS12. Racket face stability was one of the issues with the OG version.

    Is the new colour matt?

Still reckon the iconic og blue white colour scheme still looks the best of all versions.

    Two versions Deluxe and SE.

3U only in SE according to website, and both are 72 holes.
