Remember that thread that someone created about how he wanted help on acne? What about oily faces?

My first is very very oily, and let's emphasize "very". Lol. After I wash my face with facial wash, 20 minutes later, my face is running lots of oil, similar to the oil in potato chips. :p

So, you guys must have experienced oily faces, does it go away when you get older? Are there any pills or facial wash that leaves your skin almost oil-free.

Almost 95% of the people I see on the streets have oil-free faces and I wonder why my face is so oily. :crying: I want an oil-free face.:)

Any suggestions or stories you guys want to share?

Have you tried facial wash with astringent like Clearasil Daily Wash. Totally dries the skin right off. I use generic astringent solution to wash my face everyday, so no problem with acne or oily face.

no it doesn't go away... ;)

something interesting i found. those facial wipes are actually very expensive, one small box can cost nearly $5. lately i started using baby wipes. $10 for a huge box that can last years. and then it is alcohol free, blah blah blah, good for the baby's... erm.. ass. but the result is good. i keep a pack at work, it really wipes off the oil.

if it is good enough for my baby's ass, it is good enough for my face..

i also have an oily face. my experience is that. never use the facial wash sort of stuffs. the thing i use are only water and tissues paper.
i was told that. the facial wash is "TOO GOOD". it will get rid of the oliy material on your face entirely. because of the "dry" signal, your own system will regulate that by secreting even more oil to your face. that's why your face is running lots and lots of oil within 20 minutes after u wash it with facal wash!

Apply sulphur(yellow in colour) to prevent oily face, can also helps kill acne, pimple and oily face. It helps to close up gaps in your face. I think theres another medicine easily avaliable in market which has that function. Its called "Acne clear"

Diet in very important. If you can to have a less oily face, but just enought to moisturized your face.. eat less fatty foods and more fruits and vegs. You won't want to have a non-oily skin. Coz if you skin is too dry , you will look more haggard and older than your age. I'm sure you won't want that. Oil is important as well.

You can still eat meat.. just not fried and greasy stuffs. And make sure that the meat has less or no fats at all.

Use the oil from your face to power your car. Since oil prices are going up might as well make use of it

My friend (she owns a small scale spa shop) told me several times that the face will produce excessive amount of oil if it is too dry!! Yes, too dry!! Especially if you are using soap as facial cleanser (lots of guys do that...:p ). She also mentioned something about clogged pores, may want to consider exfoliation once in a while...I am not kidding, that's not gals' privilage...(though I am one)
