Trust me. The draw is rigged. That is why you see the top pairs drawn with each other and the not so great pair playing with each other. This happens in most tournament. It is probably done because if great players play against mediocre players, no one is going to watch.

If you cannot see that by now. Nothing much to say.

Nguyen is not a bad player. Just above average. He would probably win against the not so great players. Like sun fei xiang etc. Or the qualifiers. He can give a good shot at maybe slightly higher skilled players.

In most cases, he would probably match Ng. I mean the score is going to be closer. But dun forget he is playing in Malaysia

I think BWF just reuses the same draws each tournament.

I think this must be the 3rd or 4th time Nhat vs Ng has been played, while Man/Tee has met Minions just as many times. At this point,I feel Ng probably knows Nhats game inside and out that's why he can win so easily today.

It's getting boring,I do hope they randomise the draws in the future.

I cant F wait for AllEngland draws when Minions will be unseeded. My partner and i thinks its the seeded that will be afraid of their aura. It will be funny and great.

Kodai Naraoka has a improved too fast for his ranking to keep up :). He only just moved into top 8 this year.. after seedings were done.
The leftovers from the frozen rankings didn't make it easier.

Same ol' Lee Zii Jia. No improvement, no coach, no result.

Something's wrong with the draw/the system.

I still remember Momota vs Lin Dan at the first round in China Open and Hong Kong Open.

    Just an example among others.
    >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Another example: Chen Yu Fei met Okuhara too much (too close in the draw), but Okuhara NEVER met An Se Young.

The clash of current world #2 against #7 occured in opening round, just blame to ridiculous seeding date which based on 13th December 2022 world ranking, a month ago. A heartbreak for home fans, the rapid rise Naraoka continues to spread magic spell, a total commitment of diligent player to chase shuttlecock in every corner that amplifies pressure for his opponent. The coachless Lee couldn’t cope tension in nerve wracking moment while the Japanese executed precisely.

Earlier on court 1, a narrow victory for Loh KY who modified tempo how he clears first hurdle, passive mode at early stage of the game to play long rallies instead of usual blistering start, the turning point arrived at 9-16 when Loh found his speed to score 8 consecutive points towards end. Li SF who looks more muscular now can’t maintain consistency and focus as Loh plunged into nervous towards the ending, two crucial points through rapid fire net shots brought the Singaporean into last sixteen and will take on another Chinese player.

Seriously Man, Naraoka is really crazy. If he plays with this style day in day out, there is a chance of getting injury. Though he is not a technical player, i must give it to him for his tenacious fight throughout the match. He is reaching everywhere. Amazing Retriever plus his attack is not meagre either.

I think his racquet skills are underrated. He plays a lot of trick shots but he uses an ax99 pro and still manages to have incredible defence. Hopefully he’s not too tired for tomorrows match. I think he’ll easily win but Ng is pretty freaking good himself. I actually wouldn’t have minded lzj vs ng. Stadium would’ve exploded

Disagree with you on the stadium exploding when both players of the same nation plays against each other.

Naroaka is like the 2nd coming of
momota. He dun have any special weapons yet he has the winning mindset and good game sense and strategy.

Nishimoto was playing like whom ?

I don't know but it seems to me that is Son Wan Ho

No special skill, just play in slow speed and wait for chance.

Fajri if they dont have the fight they will lose. Being a WR1 is a totally different proposition. They are probably but you cant think too much in MD. Times will pass you by and you ll be gone.
