Second seed Lee ZJ swallows another setback after last week first round at home soil, his level of play found regression, readable pattern, full of doubt, vulnerable defense and his attacking powerful shot reduce significantly, the Malaysian is experiencing turbulence of his career since decided to be independent shuttler last year. Li SF saves China MS blush, at least there's one representative in last eight, Li has studied well how to face top gun in the circuit, he pushed Loh KY into the limit in KL.

Gemke dashed defending champion and home fave Sen in grueling three games, the Indian coming back from behind and nearly to succeed, so close to regain momentum to force deuce, unfortunately wide shot when the Dane was off position.

USA's Beiwen Zhang loses to He Bing Jiao after leading much of Game 2, but succumbing 19-21 to lose the match (first game 13-21). Reaching the QF is a good start to 2023 after her injury from a while back.

Sorry. She does has the skills but mentality she is totally out. She should have won the first game after leading by so much but instead allowed HBJ to come back and win by a huge margin.

And for 2nd game. Again making simple errors. to allow her opponent to come back after establishing a lead.

She is a good player but can never reach the next level unfortunately. In fact she will probably continue be beaten by players at her level or even below her level because of her poor mental skills

Indeed, but he tends to struggle and is slow to adapt when facing changes in the opponent's playing style or different court conditions.

Agree, LSF also is able to keep up with Ginting at the smooth net play.
    A nice game to watch.

Poor Rasmus Gemke suffered an injury and had to retire. He didn´t even attempt getting up from the floor by himself and was wheelchaired off court.

Axelsen basically only play 8 matches to win 2 titles and earns 150K in prize money.

Meanwhile Kunlavut is good but he has yet to win Superseries title. is this the week he breaks and wins his 1st...

Kunlavut is a very good and I like him. However, I dont think he will win a superseries just yet, not when Axelsen is still in the same competition

I corrected it for you. No need to insinuate that he is having it too easy. WO's happen. Last year he won 6 + WC with no WO's.

what a match between Christie & Chou, reminiscent of the WC.

Chou celebreating too early at 20-18 comes to bite him.

Never play rally with JC, if its gonna get more tire it will be CTC imo.. he is breathing hard after 20-20 gosh.

My goodness, Chou TC committed four mistakes in a row to hand the set, 22-20, and the match to Jonathan C.

A lucky win for JC to make the semifinals.
