Hi, my feet are wide thus some badminton shoes had previously constantly causing abrasion. Attached is my current shoes showing sight of 'opening', thus have to get a new one real soon to replace them. Any recommendation and price won't matter, please? Thanks
Compared to wide series shoes from Yonex, I really like the ones from Victor and Mizuno (interms of fit and comfort). Look out for U 3.0 or 4.0 shoes in victor range.
I'd recommend Yonex's 65 Z (3) Wide. I managed to find one for 60 USD (retails for 130 USD). Or you can try out the new Aerus Z. They have a wide version!
Victor P9600 is good for wide feet, I think. As mentioned above there are several other Victor shoes.
Waiting for P8500II, I have used P8510 for a long time and now using P9200. Did you had chance to tryout P8500II?
Hello Raju, did u manage buy the P8500ll ? I am using a p9200 also and needed slightly wider compared the p9200. Hope you can share your thoughts thanks
Yes, I got a new pair of P8500II (black ones). Mine is also wide feet, that's why I used to use P8510 U3.0. when I moved to P9200 I had to go half size higher for better fit. P8500II are great interms of comfort, lateral stability and grip. I wouldn't say they are superior over P9200, kind of similar but P8500II felt more sturdy and they are U2.5 fit wise also better.
I see, previously my SH8500D I feel it’s truly comfortable in fact feel wider compare my P9200 now. Little fit on current P9200 but usable. Was wondering should I get the new P8500ll Thank you for you kind advice bro
If I remember correctly 8500D is also U3.0 and 8500II are U2.5. As said both P9200 and P8500II are great for comfort, if 9200 are not bothering much I wouldn't go for a buy.
Posting information that I found very helpful when choosing what shoe to buy. From the Mizuno Japan site: https://jpn.mizuno.com/user_support/products/useful/shoes/choose If you take a piece of paper and measure your foot length, width and circumference at the ball of your foot (just before the toes) as shown: Then they have a matrix for which Mizuno shoe size and width is most likely appropriate for you: For example if your foot length is 27cm, circumference is 273mm and width 111mm - then you should go for "extra wide" (4E). If 27cm, 267mm and 109mm, then choose "wide" (3E). If you want to find out what width (2E, 3E or 4E) different shoes are I'm sure there are many sites but I'm posting one example that shows it (and from where I found the above info) https://www.shuttle-house.com/search?cat=3&lang=en With regards to Victor they have a guide to their various shoe lasts for their shoe models here: https://www.victorsport.com/badmintonaz/17587/a-guide-to-shoe-last https://www.victorsport.com/product/shoes
This is very helpful. I cannot view the victor link somehow. Can you kind enough post the victor chart possible? My feet with sock somewhere about 100mm. Thanks a lot mate
Victor doesn't have as detailed measurements as Mizuno, but here is what's written on their site: As you may have already noticed, VICTOR has a badminton footwear dedicated shoe last system. In order to cater to customers of different foot shapes, VICTOR offers two different lasts, the U-Shape last and the V-Shape last. The two types are further categorized into narrow last, standard last and wide last. As a badminton player, other than colors and features in appearances that appeal to your tastes, you must remember to choose the type of last that best suits your feet so that your footwork can be as smooth as possible during the games. What distinguishes male foot shape and female foot shape? According to studies on gender differences in foot shape, there is apparently a big difference. From the foot models, we can see that the female forefoot and heel are relatively narrower, and the instep is lower compared with that of the male of the same foot size. The evidence shows that men and women require different shoe lasts. I wouls assume U-shape is bigger toebox than V-shape 3.5 = 4E extra wide 3.0 = 3E wide 2.5 - 2E standard You'll still have to access this link to find out which Victor shoe matches which last shape and width here: https://www.victorsport.com/product/shoes
I got it from Facebook Market, the seller/owner told me he bought it off of yumo.ca, genuine. He had like two pairs and wanted to get rid of it ASAP.
