That's why BWF grade the tournaments Tier 1, Level 1, etc, or Super 1000, Super 750, and so on based on world ranking as at a certain date - each with different ranking points awarded for the results instead of prize money.

Right now, we have the same classification Super 1000 event awarding different ranking points based on the amount of prize money.

However, it's different and justifiable based on prestige, standing, rarity, and suchlike, for example, The World Championships, Olympics, World Tour Finals.

But there is an easy fix. Simply change the rules so that medical timeouts are only allowed before the injured players’ serve. If the injured player cannot wait that long, they must retire. It’s that simple.

I would guess- pretty heavily. Even when he started he was working with them without a rigid contract, not without a pay.

H2H records won't show Team match record?

Because Satwik Sairaj/Chirag had won 2-3 h2h before this final against chinese pair. But Tournament software shows 1-3.
    Do anybody know the reason?

Your proposed change doesn’t improve anything.

Hi @lurker Love the photos. Do you happen to have a shot of Yuta Watanabe's racket? A couple of us is trying to confirm if his is a custom-made Halbertec. The production Halbertec 9k have fully recessed grommets. But his look half-recessed.

Will be very interesting if WangLiang can win AllEngland or not. It should be around this time. I will be particularly watching WangChang 2024 AE with Kevin 2017 AE performance. This will be swashbuckling.

Remember, he asked USD 10000/Month for full time
Even if BAI couldn't offer, now Satwik/Chrig can afford personally, I guess.
But not to permanent... Local coaches, FAT man, Arun George & others should develop & step in..

Wow!…good job if you can get it.

What I observe from Danish coaches is their method is very good,
apart from the usual skill and psychology based things, it seems their method is very intuitive in that they encourage communication,
they take notes of the proceedings, devise a game plan, encourage player input to problem solve,
ask what they could/should’ve done so as to solve it in real time during games, a thinking game,
not like a lot of Asian players who lean on coaches a lot as can be seen to look to coaches to tell them what to do,
the only players I’ve seen in recent times to do that is Lin Dan and Chen Long,
they constantly communicate with the coach and know what they should have done etc,
well that’s my take anyway, shoot me down if i am wrong.

Erm...I didn't actually didn't propose anything, just not in favour of awarding more ranking points based on more prize money for the same grade or level of tournaments contingent upon world rankings , eg Super 1000 based on world ranked top 32 , unless the prestige or status of the title warrants it.

Agreed.. If so he may join SG after Paris OG!?
But ex-indian players Guru Sai , Parupalli , Arun George may get much lesser than 10K....

More that many ex/current IND players (even Guru also), who are capable of getting into IITs (in India)/MIT/ Stanford (US) & likely to get more than 10K in Apple/Google/Amazon etc.. Taken huge risk... after this much hard work/drained their parent's earnings, if they don't settle means..

Need still more prize money including lower tournaments -FS/IS/IC/WT100!
