In the French Open Prannoy avoided Srikanth, Now Lakshya avoids Srikanth in the Swiss Open, coincidence or strategy?

Is PV Sindhu trying to stay off the radar until the Olympics? In game 1 Sindhu was in control and in game 2 until 17-17 then she makes unforced errors and hands the game to Tomaka Miyazaki. Sindhu should have won in 2 games but lost in 3. Tomaka is definitely an exciting player and one to watch in the future. Japan has a knack of lots of young WS players rising fast.

Sen was struggling in the opening round itself physically. He was there as if he was forced to attend this tournament. This is his 3rd consecutive tournament. After reaching 2 successive semifinals, we can expect a slump in his performance. His legs were not there yesterday. I saw some glimpse of his match in game 1 and decided to sleep knowing the outcome. He was very sluggish . But i did not watch Sindhu's match. Sindhu might have underestimated her opponent?.

If it was strategy, it is better than giving walkover or throwing away the match.

Australia Women's Doubles is a breath of fresh air in recent tournaments! so many top players had become victims of these mixed ethnicity INA and CHN girls

I know people have been saying this for a while, but they really need to start using faster shuttles for womens doubles.
Just watching the INA-FRA game, and there's another of those 127-shot rallies (which is still not even close to the record), played mosty at walking pace, with every shot aimed 3 feet inside the lines, because women's defense is so much stronger than their attack that it's not worth taking any risks at all.
I guess the BWF think clips of these long rallies make the sport look really epic and spectacular when they get posted on social media, but when the whole game is played like this, it's just tedious, and really not entertaining.

And now Ohori. Up against Marin tomorrow. Will be interesting. She is on a good run after winning Orleans last week.

(Btw, I predict her opponent in the final, Hida Akechi, will win the Polish open this week.)

Just now checked polish open when you said Hida will win the title. They have not even played R16 yet. I never even heard her name before. How you are so confident !.

Lane and Vendy finally get past the first round in four tournaments. It looks hard for them in the 750 and 1000 tournaments. They were England’s biggest hopes for an Olympic medal and they won’t qualify.

Well I am going out on a limb, but Akechi played really well in Orleans. For instance, in the semis she easily beat Japanese B team player Suizu who had earlier beaten Line Christophersen. And the competition in the Polish open is not as high (international challenge level). But we will see!

She is a year older than Miyazaki.

It could be an all INA MD final.
It could be an all JPN WS final.
It could be an all TFE MS final.

All of a sudden , after corona, whichever tournament you switch on, you could see huge number of Taipei players participating. I am amazed by their sheer numbers.

But they still have not found a successor for TTY in WS.

Yes I have mentioned this before and noticed too many TPE players in all tournaments. Sometimes I saw like 16 TPE players in a QF of an Int series or 100/300 events.

Hina Akechi will be in the finals tomorrow's Polish Open. Yes, I'm impressed by her play. Hope she can continue on upward path. Actually I think Asuka Takahashi also has many good qualities but unfortunately, she can be limited by courage and patience.

Not really. She was playing Tanya Hemanth of India, she retired when she was trailing 7-11 in game 1
