Ti-10 + BG-85 at 25lbs was my best combination but it cost way too much...

I'd rather go with BG-70 Pro nowadays. At first I tought the string sux but... It's really good!

Right now I'm using a Forza Sp-9000 with Gosen Gs-88 at 21 pounds. It's one of the better combinations I've got.

The best had to be Blackknight Sabre strung with ProKennex string at 19 lbs. ( back when BK racquets were only good to 21 pounds)

    Karakal SL-80 with BG68Ti @ 22lbs. :)

I very much liked the factory default string on the Forza Asia Amour 20,000 I had too...was strung @ 24lbs and probably same guage as BG68Ti, it gave a great deal of power.

I have an MP-88 and was a very faithful user of BG-80 string at 25 lbs. My BG-80 was very very powerful and always produces loud bangs when i smash but not until that i broke it 1 week ago. I made a decision to give a try to BG-66 which alot of people say the string has the similar characteristics of BG-80 but thinner sting. Since it's a thin, it implies that i has less durability but anyways, i strung mine at 22lbs as forum members recommend to lower tension to make it more durable. But man, it feels more tension than my BG-80 which was strung at 25lbs.

First Impression: Never liked it but everything deserves a second chance and maybe i need to get used to the new string. I tried it the next few days and when it was broken in, the strings make my racket more powerful than every and control is EXCELLENT !!! However, you'll never get that loud "BANG !" anymore with BG-66. Instead, you'll get a 'clear' noise, just like what you hear in badminton tournament which when people hits hard, produces sort of like a 'metal' sound.

Anyways, i recommend people to gove a try to this string. Many people tried it but never regretted using it. As far as I know, Taufik use BG-66 too :D..... cheers and beers buddy

    Many ppl use BG80 .
It's because BG80 is the most durable high repulsion string.
    BG66 BG85 Pro66 B505, in my opinion, are better than BG80
, but they are too easy to break and the tension drop significantly.
BG80, IMO, is the economic version of BG85 since it's way more durable, and that's why I use it.

Yep, that's exactly the reason why I use BG-80. Otherwise, I'd be using BG-85. But now I found the SOTX string is more repulsive than BG-80 and it's more durable too! :D

Can you tell us which model of SOTX strings you have tried? So we can test them. Thanks!

Used to be AT700 with naturall gut to either 23 or 25lbs

I just hope the NS8000 plays as well with the gut, waiting to have them strung :(

3u Ti-10 with CBG100 at 24 lbs is what i find the best so far. Of course CBG100 is expensive normally, but I have been rather lucky to get a few deals lately(around $10 CAD per pack). :D Durability doesn't really seem like a problem for the CBG100 at such tension, at least the way I play, it usually lasts for 4 months, but then thats when I play 2 or 3 times a week, 2 hrs each time.

SOTX 1040Ti-65: 0.65mm! But it's quite durable for a string so thin. It's more durable than BG-80 so far...
