Congrats Sally. How closely will you be working with the IBF? Maybe you can "influence" them with some of the great ideas us BC members come up with regularly, haha (and the odd mention of Badminton Central )
Sally Yeh - IBF Ambassador Source: Sin Chew Jit Poh (translated into English) Date: December 10, 2005 Sally Yeh yesterday (Friday) attended an IBF meeting at Kuala Lumpur as the IBF ambassador. It is the first IBF meeting since the HQ was shifted to KL. She is now focusing on women doubles and mixed doubles. Her favourite players are Chandra-Sigit. She likes Xie Zhongbo as Xie is her coach Xiong Bo's brother. Her favourite stadium is the Golden Gate Badminton Club, GGBC. IBF contacted Sally through Xiong Bo and ask her to be the IBF ambassador. Sally Yeh emphasized that she will follow IBF calendar as much as she can, to attend some important tournaments, like the Thomas Cup in Japan, and WC in Spain, as the IBF ambassador. Sally said that, although IBF and herself haven't had a detailed discussion about what she should do, she has been promoting badminton to her friends. "Badminton is a sports that we can practise it everyday. Through badminton, I get to know a lot of new friends." said Sally. She also said that, Jackie Chan is doing some badminton business as well. Other celebrities who play badminton are like Jacky Cheung, Eason Chan, Joey Yong, Nicolas Tse, etc. "Jackie Chan can play good badminton. haha, but, this is what he said himself..." joked Sally. When asked about whether she is interested to sing a song with badminton as the theme, Sally said that, singing about badminton should give a fresh and "cute" impression to other people, she's not young enough for this task What about performing a song during badminton tournament?? The HK diva said," Singing.. it seems couldn't help promoting badminton very much woh..."

This is going to sound sooo stupid.. but I had to ask. Sally Yeh is part of BC??? There I got it out. So sue me. Whatever it is, congrats Sally! And if she really is part of BC.. forgive my ignorance. I haven't been around much lately.. training and tournaments.
Our BC/BF family already has world class pros (even champ) as in JR, etc. Now, we have a IBF's Badminton Ambassador in Sally. Man, I am so proud to be part of this family! Congrats!!!
