    Badminton Game

    Hi Paul,

Thank you very much for giving me a good game while in
Bangkok. Though the time is short, but that 1 hour match
was great. You guys were friendly and accommodating.
I like the court at Jaroen Sport Club. I believe one of your
friend is here in Singapore for company's training. If he needs
a good game please ask him to call me at 90684391. Unfortunately
my time were too tight. I would have love to have a game
with Mr Weeradej's team as well. I hope to plan another trip,
but not so soon. It was great meeting one of my country man,
Ken in Bangkok. Take care . kraap khun kraap.

    Cheers

    non-thai reading impediment

    Hey all,
I can't read Thai, but I think the website www.thaibadminton.com would be very helpful for me in finding a place to play near my area. Could someone who can read Thai be willing to quickly scan the site to play in the Rachatevee and Phyathai area? I would appreciate it SOOO MUCH!
    thank you!

A good GOODminton courts in Bangkok/Nonthaburi in Thailand

    Hi there,

I am a badminton bum -- enjoy the games a lot. Let me intruduce a good place to play it. The name is TiMonPat Court. What good
about it? It is nice and clean, lightning system is good, and 4 synthetic courts. Good players are always there. There is even a guy of
Thai Badminton Representatives. He is about 22-25 years old. You cannot beat him. He will turn to a professinoal coach at the court
    sooner or later.
The limited point at the court is limited space for parking.
There is a buffet playing on Tu and Fri; several players of whereever come and pool together and team up with someone they want or
against a team they want. A player can ask the organizer for teaming up. This buffet playing begins 19:00 on both Tu and Fridays and
normally last until 00:00 am on Tusdays and 01:00 am on Fridays.
TiMonPat is on Pra-cha-rath 8 Road -- it is between Nonthaburi Pier and BigC Tiwanon. It is about 3 traffic lights away from the exit of
Ngamwongwan (for Kae Rai) Express Way. (BigC is a very big department store, and this BigC is close to the Ministry of Public
    Health)
If you are a foreigner and cannot speak Thai, want to enjoy yourself at TiMonPat, you'd better let your taxi driver talk to the staff at
TiMonPat Court. The phone numbers are 02-525-29-45 (fixed phone), 01-902-12-34 (cellular phone). (After 1 Jan 2007, all the cellular
phone numbers in Thailand will have a digit "8" added up after the first 0; the phone number will be 081-902-12-34)
I enjoy badminton a lot and also meeting new friends or just getting to meet someone new. So, you can phone me if you wanna play at
TiMonPat & I hope I am free to play.

    :)

***I wish one day the sport name will be changed for a better feeling to "GOOD-minton."***

    Badminton courts in Jomthong area.

My previous reply might go missing.

    Dear KClint,

I am not familiar with the are you are in, Jomthong.
You'd better look for the information and never-yet-met friends through www.thaibadminton.com. I am sure Thais welcome you and anyone else the same way. Just apply to be a member. No strings attached; it will not annoy you, and no payment, no spams to your email account.

As far as I can work out there are three courts in and around Jomthong area. Let me give you the url of the other two. Hope you can find someone to tell you of the information written in Thai.

    http://www.thaibadminton.com/main/modules/adresses/singlefile.php?lid=54
This one is right in Jomthong area.

    The other one: http://www.thaibadminton.com/main/modules/adresses/singlefile.php?lid=104

If you happen to be some where close to Ngamwongwan road, then allow me to enjoy the games with you.

    Cheers,

    Albert_K

    It's a Good Court i think 12 Court or 14 Courts there...

Another thing.. when I play with them.. they were using Old Scoring System... and only 1 set.. hehehe.. well it's not a big deal... just wonderin... xD... well hopefully Albert_K we meet and play soon.. :)

    Hi kclint

Good to hear you are happy.

If you stay long in Thailand, I suggest you try to post messages at thaibadminton.com to look for new friends, and courts.

In BKK, we have a format of playing badminton, "buffet."

You pay for court fee only once per day, say, 40 bahts for 19:00-24:00. And 10 or 12 baths for each shuttlecocks used for four persons playing together.

Hope you enjoy your games more and more.

    :)

    Bye,
    K
