Hey im looking to buy a new MP racquet. I am a smasher, play double and one of my friend recommended me one of these two racquets for the moment.

But which one is better?? share your opinion

    I have an MP23 strung BG66 at 22 lbs.
I think this racket will benefit the smasher but relatively slow in defense.

    + Power: 7.5/10
    + Control: 6/10
    + Quickness: 6/10

I don't like the heavy-head feel that this racket brings to me, even it's categorised as even balance. Medium stiffness shaft gives me no edge in attack as well as in defence. I prefer extreme racket (extra stiff or flexible). Further more, MP23 is produced in Taiwan.

With Mp30, I have no experience with it so I can not review.

i have mp30 .. it is a generally okay racket.
    power is good.
but the bad thing is that the head heavyness makes it hard to move the racket fast.

maybe i am used to oval head. and light head.

and the isometric head gives an impression that the racket head is big .. and hard to control.

i am a user of gosen 5000ti. recently bought the mp30 as backup /..
over all , nice racket. not bad if u r not a hardcore.

I have a MP25 (same as MP23, but a little bit lighter) and some of my clubmates have the MP30. The only difference between the two is the stiffness of the shaft, the MP30 is stiffer so better for smashing.

@lex1437: both rackets ar even balanced, MP30 is definately not head-heavy

whats the difference btw mp-23 & mp-22, any thoughts anybody?

i saw a number of them in carrefour (not the best place to shop for rackets). btw the manufactured date was stated to be april 2005 SP.(iirc).

as i said , im a user of light heads , an even balance will make me feel the head is heavy . it doesnt matter that is written on the shaft . it's influenced by the way u hold and history of ur rackets.
    k thx bye . :)

i own a 2um p23, power is decent, im an offensive player too, and defence is decent, its actually rated as a defensive racquet on the yonex chart, and is a very durable racquet, im pretty sure i can throw the racquet as hard i a can against a wall and it will MAYBE crack, paint is very durable as well. i reccommend the mp 23 cause i think its the better "bang for the buck"

also, its not as heavy as it seems

disagree, just yesterday i had a pretty harsh racquet clash, not even a scratch on it. last week, i accidently tripped and slammed the racquet on the ground for support, no scratches :)

Since, MP24 came before MP25, I would guess MP22 is the old version of the MP23... Knowing that, it's strange they were manufactured in 2005:rolleyes:

I have MP-30 and MP-88. I find MP-30 an ok overall racket thats good for defense and lacking power in the smashes and feel (it feels "dead" to me for whatever reason, compared to that MP-88 feels very crisp). MP-30 is not a head heavy racket, but an even balanced racket. My smash with the head heavy 3U Mp-88 is lot more powerful, but that racket is not as good as MP-30 on defense. Sorry I never played with the MP-23.

i find the MP23 does nothing for me. It is OK in msot aspects but doesnt really stand out anymore. plus especially because its 2U for doubles it is not quick so I would not reccomend it.

Durability is about the same. Both are made from regular (not High Modulus) graphite, so they can't take a lot mishits. I've had my MP25 for a year now, and when I shake my racket I hear something has already broken inside .
