That's what the CPU says when you plug a GeForce into the AGP slot.

My computer, one of the lowest in spec here yet!

    Pentium 4 1.6 GHz
    512 MB Kingston DDR266 RAM
    2 x 40GB Maxtor Diamondplus ATA 133 HDD
Nvidia GeForce FX5200 128 MB RAM
    Intel BG845 mainboard
    Soundblaster Live! 5.1

As you can see, it can hardly run Half-Life 2 in DirectX 8.0/8.1 without a stutter and Doom III will kill it for good. I F.E.A.R it won't survive for long.

The good news though, is that it can run Simcity 4000 very well - one of the older games that I'm still at. :)

I got a small form factor case/motherboard from Soltek
    It's running a P4D 3.0 ghz CPU
    1 gig of OCZ ram
36 gig WD Raptor SATA 10,000 RPM
    250 gig external Maxtor
ATI X800XL (it says minimum 300 Watt PSU needed but it runs fine with my tiny 250 Watt PSU)
    Liteon DVD burner

and my newest toy is a 21'' widescreen gateway LCD :)

There are lots of reviews for the GS but it looks in my opinion slightly disappointing. Since you have super powered cards in PCI Express and with the amount of bandwidth available to the AGP 8x port, the performance isn't that great in that respect.

However that is currently one of the best AGP cards have to offer

    Hi Pete LSD

I usually play stuff like Far Cry and Everquest 2. I even dabble in FM2005.

Am thinking of buying F.E.A.R which looks really good

    Do you play anything?

    :)

I'm waiting for this as well before upgrading.

    I'm on a P4 1.5, 640Mb RAM. just installed a 200Mb hard disk that was sorely needed.

Just waiting for the new OS and the computers specs to upgrade to its requirements.

I think I can last another year and a half with my present computer - if I can live with its bugs:(

You mean 200GB my friend. I doubt you're that desperate for space that you'd put in a vintage 200MB hard disk.

Btw Pete since you've played Empire Earth 2, have you tried Civilization 4. It's pretty awesome.

:D, I still have a 96MB and 120MB HDDs in my cupboard, owned from new. Still work too, used them briefly for a vintage-gaming computer based on a 386 DX-40, but replaced with a much bigger drive as it was fine as long as drive size was within the FAT16 size limit, so I used a 2.1GB drive.

3 Gb ....might just be enough ..lol

Well the 3 Gb is so i can have smooth running of online gaming .Which was for Everquest 2. Good for quicking zoning through different areas :) .
Originally I had a pair of 512's in my PC but it struggled with EQ2. People recommend 1 Gb for but i think 2 Gb is best for optimum play.

So are there any EQ2 players out there. If so I play in the Runnyeye server :D. You never know we might have bumped into each other and not have known :) .

I have been thinking of upgrading the FX card but that might wait till I upgrade the whole system on a later date.
