Disappointing that these two great singles players are not on the list.
What are the criterias to get in?

I'm sure Tony Gunawan will make the list some day.

It should be like 2-4 per year from now on. There are so many past great players to honour! So IBF had to play catch-up and cram it all in? :)

Did taufik-ist include Taufik twice on his own accord?

As far as I know hall of famers are meant for great players/administrators or anyone who has contributed to the sport who is NO LONGER ACTIVE

Taufik Hidayat must be very special that he got nominated two times.
On the site it says Hidayat Taufeek though. Is it a different guy? :D

2.3 Those nominated shall have been retired from the sport of badminton for a period of five years or more, except in special circumstances which Administration Committee consider warrant a recommendation to Council

Shouldn't Gillian Clark (ENG) be on the list as well?

She has done countless broadcasts of matches and I'm sure many of us are so familiar with her voice. :)

Badminton's Hall of Fame is for players or administrators who have retired 5 years or more. Taufik should not be there. He will probably make it but only 5 or more years after he retires. Good try to promote Taufik, but wrong place because the Hall of Fame is for oustanding players who are embarking on their sunset years. Taufik just got married. He is too young to be looking after his children or grand children.;)
However, Taufik did win the Eddy Choong Player of the Year in 2004 and 2005.

How come Li Ling Wei & Han Ai Ping but not Yy and Zhao?

Maybe China cannot forgive them for plotting in China badminton's downfall

in early 90s.in those days money in the pocket was more important than loyalty.

Yang Yang is surely missing, but Zhao was way to unconsistent to be considered into the hall of fames. Surely he played magnificient on his good days and played badminton like no one could, but players who go into this hall are truely great champions and consistant, and zhao wasnt consistant enough( I may be flamed now:p ). But Im missing Li yongbos name in there since he was a great MD player and also Thomas Lund from Denmark who ruled the mix double several years in the 90's . Also the WS player Ye Zhaoyen is missing and thats a big surprise to me since she was outstanding in the 90's together with Susi susanti.

But thats how it is with such votings, people will never be satisfied, but to say Zhao should be there would be favourisation and not a realistic picture of how it should be. Then people like Höyer larsen, arbi and Hendrawan should be there too in my opinion. I could also favourise and say that Gade from 97-2001 before a major injury stopped him should be considered. Gade if playing 100% at that time was one lvl above the rest when looking at raw power/speed and technical finesse, and in that period ive seen him outplay a lot of top 10 players like Zhao outplayed Joko, however he lacked the consistensy and the mental aspect to become one of the greatest single players. I know you cant compare such 2 since theres a decade between them, but what im trying to say with this topic is that without consistency you cant achieve such a spot and it wont help whinning cause your favourite player aint here. take of the coloured classes and be realistic :D

Errrrr...duh! They should all be in the Hall of Fame too. :)

But not Gade, not yet. He's still active. Once he retires, of course.

well, if taufik gets inducted while he's still playing, i see no reason why PG and LD shouldn't be as well. they've definitely been in or amongst the top for several years now.

Whoops, didn't see that. Yeah, agree. Also, being inducted twice? Man, that's...just silly.
