I think hafiz is too consistant for his own good. He can consistantly beat ppl ranked below him, but also consistantly looses to ppl ranked above him.

come to think of it, i can't remember the last time he beat someone ranked above him.

Lydia Cheah/Jing Yi Tee conceded match to Kamilla Juhl/Lena Kristainsen. What happened to the young malaysians? Injured? What a pity they could not progress to the semi-finals.

Looks like Hafiz has a chance of another title (after his Phillipines title). I think he can beat Chen Jin and then Chen Yu. No problem, bring on the Chen's --- Hafiz will 'fiz' them !

Altogether now : FIZZZZZZ THEM !

The WD matches have been completed. Wong Pei Tty/Chin Ee Hui and the home pair Saralee Thoungthongkam/Sathinee Jankrajangwong have won their respectively matches. The local favorite beat Chien Yu-Chin/Cheng Wen-Hsing in 3 close sets 17-21, 21-19, 23-21. Lee Kyung Won/Lee Hyo Jung also beat the Chinese pair of Wei Yili/Zhang Yawen 21-19, 22-20. They will face Wong Pei Tty/Chin Ee Hui while the home pair has an easier task against Lena Frier-Kristsensen/Kamilla Rytter-Juhl in the semi-final tomorrow.

One match has been completed in the MD. Lee Jae Jin/Hwang Ji Man beat their Korean compatriot Yeo Yeong Seong/Jeon Jun Bum 21-15, 21-10 in 18 mins...the fastest match today

I think Chen Jin will lose for the same reason BCL lost. He is not able to match it with the best. I just think Hafiz has the slight edge over the remaining players, now that LCW, PGade and Lin Dan are not around.

I may be wrong but who can say he will be right at this time. :D

It seems like you'd never got his name right.. It's Hafiz, not Hafidz

Hmm...another upset as the unheralded Chinese Taipei pair of Fang Chieh-Min/Lee Sheng-Mu managed to beat the Malaysian young pair of Hoon Thien How/Tan Boon Heong in 3 sets 16-21, 22-20, 21-15...notice how close the second set was...Hoon/Tan could win in 2 sets  They will face Lee Jae Jin/Hwang Ji Man next.

However, credit to the Chinese Taipei pair...I watched them play in the SIngapore Open against the eventual champion Flandy/Sigit. Flandy/Sigit took a long time to beat them...it went to deuce in the first set.

So, 2 more matches left..Chew Choon Eng/Hong Chieng Hun vs Jung Jae Sung/Lee Yong Dae and Rian Sukmawan/Eng Hian vs Choong Tan Fook/Lee Wan Wah. The winners will face one another in tomorrow's semi-finals.

The Taipei pair is unheard of --- did they secretly train in China perhaps ? Or got trained by a China coach ?
