I'm a Filipino too and I support the Asuncions too. But, as a self-confessed badminton addict, I cannot just turn a blind eye when I see my fellow countrymen so outclassed. IMHO, they have a long way to go before they can get into the top 10. And correct me if I'm wrong but I think they have been playing for more than 3 years on the pro circuit and they have played Robertson/Emms a number of times. I'm not being negative though. I sincerely hope that the Asuncions and other Filipino badminton players can get top 10 or less world rankings in the next few years.
The way they won the 2 tournaments in australia and NZ.. and a good runner-up finish on the PO.. they will reach top 10.. now that they are on the 19th spot.. their highest..
They can be in the top10 if they play enought international competitions and also if they have a good results in those tourneys. But i can see they might be able to break into the top 15.
and click at this.. they are now on the 18th.. http://www.internationalbadminton.org/mixeddoubles.asp
