LinDan is not bad enough to walk off during a match. :) That is why Taufik is badder than him hehehe..

    Very intriguing matches...

Hmm, looking at the MS SF, it's deja vu all over again like in last yr's WC, as it will be the same cast of lineup...;) :) ..And looking fw to the Final, it could be another LD vs. TH rematch...Could this be Taufik's plan of getting that $2500 or whatever prize monies he lost??.. :p ;) :D

As for the WS and WD events, well, it will be another CHN affairs, similar to last yr's WC..

The XD Semis will also feature last yr's WC Finals participants. A surprise so far is the pairing of Flandy/Vita. Perhaps the INA squad has found a 2nd unit, for the time being, to complement Nova/Lilyana?? *If* both of the INA XD pairs are able to meet together in the Final, it will be 1 very interesting Final...

But the "Match of the Round", at least one which i'm looking fw to, will be the MD rematch between Tony/Candra vs. Fu/Cai...Boy, i can already feel the electricity coming all the way down to southern California..:D .I can sense that Yoyogi stadium will be rocking and rolling for that heavy weight match..What a treat that will be!!..;):) :D
IMO, not to undermine the other Semi-finalists, but that will be the "actual Final"..:D

lastly, badMania, thanks for doing the previews; sorry you won't be able to stay up and watch(as Utah is 1 hr ahead of PST)..;):)

haha. hara already stated his sort of anti-lin dan already.. i think most people feel anti because they cant accept that he won all their heros.
but its normal, i will also feel disappointed if LD lost.

most importantly, we must respect the players even though some actions or whatever reason they do seem to anger us.

I hope LCW would be MEAN ! He needs to scowl and argue with the umpire a lot more. He needs to pay less respect to his opponents -- that way, I think he will win all the time. He needs to be a McEnroe in badminton !:D

    May the better player win

This will be a good test for Lee Chong Wei goes against most talented "in-form" Tuafik. Both players have a lot to proof and is also a pre-showdown for coming Asian Games. LCW lost to the "in-form" Taufik during WC2005 as Taufik was a better player in all department a year ago. I think this time will be a tough fight as LCW has improved so much in 1 short year. Regardless, both players are quite respectful of one another so most probably will be a less controversy game, I hope.
May the better player win(I stay neutral as I have upmost respect for both players on court)

Taufik is very fired up? that's what you guys said during the WC, then he lost to Chen Hong. That's what you guys said at HKO, then he forfeited the match. pulling stunts like forfeiting a game because of a shitty line call only gives him a bad name. and because some of you refer to him as "the face of badminton" (which he isn't) therefore gives a bad name to badminton.

and as for JO, LCW is going to kill taufik.

I want to see a Gade, LCW way final simply cause their contrasting styles would make for a great match.

Hei guys, please do not start the anti Lin Dan wave again, although he has many things that i do not like. This is the area to discuss about Japan Open.

i do not think it will be easy match for the Men singles players. I will go for LCW and LD final. Hopefully the strongest will win the match.

The key here for the top players are probably consistency. After only 2 weeks of WC2006, only a few of same players from the WC semis.

    MEN'S SINGLES
Lin Dan vs Peter Gade -- This is LD 10 semifinal appearance in a row. If Peter didn't play something special, LD will again march into final for 6 time in a row.

Taufik Hidayat vs Lee Chong Wei (MATCH OF THE ROUND) -- After LD, LCW is the next most consistency MS player this year. 3 sets for LCW and he again will play LD for fifth or sixth times this year alone.

    MEN'S DOUBLES

Fu Haifeng/Cai Yun vs Tony Gunawan/Candra Wijaya (MATCH OF THE ROUND) -- This is the real final. Whoever won this round will likely win the title. Cai/Fu in 2 sets. They are in a roll.

Shuichi Sakamoto/Shintaro Ikeda vs Koo Kien Keat/Tan Boon Heong --
Malaysia pair will stroll to final.

    WOMEN'S SINGLES

As I predicted all Chinese SF. :) Seems like Judith suprising win in Taipei Open is only once in a life time performance.

Zhang Ning VS Zhu Lin. The only way Zhu Lin to win the match is to become more faster than ZN. But I highly doubted it. Only XXF can beat ZN for now.

Wang Chen vs Xie Xingfang XXF will keep her consistency by setting up another final against ZN.

    WOMEN'S DOUBLES

Nothing a suprise here. Only Lee KW/ Lee HJ pair had a decent chance to beat the Chinese pairs.

Gao Ling/Huang Sui vs Du Jing/Yu Yang

Wei Yili/Zhang Yawen vs Yang Wei/Zhang Jiewen

    MIXED DOUBLES

Nova Widianto/Lilyana Natsir vs Xie Zhongbo/Zhang Yawen (MATCH OF THE ROUND) --
Another 50:50 fight. So far both of this pair had 2-2 record.

Sudket Prapakamol/Saralee Thoungthongkam vs Flandy Limpele/Vita Marissa --

What a suprise Indonesia had 2 MX pair in SF :D. But The Thai will stop their fantastic run today.

Beside consistency, lucky draw also counted for. Cause LD mostly meet Hafiz in QF and LCW play against Boonsak in QF for so many times this year. :D

Anyone know what the order of play is? Timetable on website only shows 1300 start.
