Guessing Game: Which is/are the fake NS9000(s)?

I am relaxed finally. As I cannot spot any fake signs for them, except the handle for the 3rd is not 'round' enough. And this may be due to the perspective of taking the photo.

In the old days, the butt is one of the way to spot the fake (the brightness of the green part and the 'J' of the word Japan). Anyway, the technology is advancing, including the fake products

 

haha, not bitter at all, just feel cheated!

 

But what about the "ti" characters on the head frame ?
Does X and S version have different places for the word "Ti" and can anyone confirm that ?

 

Racket making is not a process with extra high precision. Nor does it need to be. Minor variations are perfectly in the norm. The important part is that all the details are there, even if they are not in exactly the same place on each racket.

 

Here is a Nano 9000 type X bought from an authorised dealer in UK. The Ti is not on the grommet . That's mean UK version is different to US version.

 

Umm, US, CD etc... all the same. Probably the placement not exactly in the same position from one batch than another. Only the JP one is different.

 

I noticed people kept guessing but I did not this thread until today. It is very clear within seconds from looking at post #24, they were all real.

 

Ok, time to test you folks for a bit more practice. Is this counterfeit or real?

Seems like a real Type S, JP version

 

Had some lighting difficulty: Flash + Macro mode = no good!!

Hi you say the JP one is different, how? Is it written on the top of the head not next to the strings?

I have posted my NS9000 in your 'post your serial numbers' but you havnt checked it on your list yet. If the one I have is a fake then its convincing, very convincing. Apert from the yonex triangular hologram looking a bit rough on one edge and the wriring smudging off with a wipe with a finger. Also the red band doesnt quite line up when it meets.

I'm tum98 on eBay, and I looked at all of them at first, thinking, "holy, if one of them is fake, that means fake rackets are really that good. That it's really hard to tell fake apart from real now"

My customers had shown me many fakes and some of them come close, but they always had something that's obvious. The manufacturing process for fake is not there yet. I guess in order to produce a perfect fake (looks like a real one) you actually need very expensive machine and that make the cost goes up, cutting into their margin, and that's not worth it.

I hope that that's the case. I also hope Yonex can keep it up, so that it's not easy to produce a perfect replica.
