Ok all please dont kick me from this sight due to this question. In the winter we play inside, but during the summer we play outside. Does anyone have any tips for setting up a court outside ? We have played at my friends house and now that I have a yard I would like to make as nice a court as possible. Thank you for any help/comments.
Use a nylon shuttle, cheap metal rackets and don't forget your mittons, ear muffs and lots of hot chocolate.
And don't forget your .223 varmint rifle for shooting squirrels . And Get a trailer if you don't have one. Just joking
Have it so that the sun is to the side (Not much sun during this time of year in Massachusetts, I would think? I personally don't know, I've never been to the East Coast, have stayed in nice sunny California most of my life) of the court, not in the face of one side or the other. Avoid getting too close to the trees or to the house (might get stuck up somewhere high), and try finding someplace smooth. Of course, if they don't have a particularly large backyard, you might have little space to choose from. Good luck though, and tell me more about the weather of Massachusetts! I have no idea what it's like there. It'd be hilarious, the line judge having earmuffs, a cup of hot chocolate with the steam obstructing their view, and a shotgun in place. Not only for the varmints, but also for the cheaters, too.
Is is possisble to play outside during the night there? It is customary in some places in Indonesia to get a game outside in the evening/night since that time is considered to be minimum wind.
I doubt it. Isn't it cold there, and even more so at night? I'm just guessing, but seeing as it's pretty up north compared to where I am...
It's cold and usually wet in MA. Below freezing in the winter. I don't recommend playing hard in that kind of weather. Could lead to injuries.
