1)stroke the feathers accusingly, then demand a change of shuttle. 2)look up and give a 'i-was-blinded-by-the-godamn-lights' look 3)look down and rub your eyes (as though some sand got blown into your eyes) 4)wipe your face as if a drop of sweat went inside your eyes. 5)rub ur shoes against the floor as though it was slippery, causing u to almost lose your balance just now and mis-timed as a result and if it's close to the net.......just say "that was a sure kill... hesitated cos i was afraid i might hurt you"
"who's that pretty girl there waving at me? oh wait, nevermind...she's gone already" or keep your 'looking' at an imaginary bird like you hit a clear... "fooled you, didn't I?" "I bet you didn't see that one coming" "meh...close enough"
It's not that bad or embarrassing when you swing and misses the bird, it's worser when you swing misses it and the bird hits YOU. One time my opponent was driving the bird to me and it was slow so I know I can drive it back, I swang (Thinking oh yeah I got this all under control), but I totally missed the bird and it popped me right in my lips. Everyone was cracking up. Can't say anything else but smile with a red face. LOL
If I miss my overhead swing, then I try to swing again real quick and if that doesnt work, I watch it fall and then look at the birdie for a good 3 seconds eyeing it accusingly!!!
I was doing a smash at midcourt one time when I totally missed the birdie but it hit my racquet as I was pulling my racquet back up. The birdie flies over, hits the top of the net, tumbles over the other side and we score a point. Everyone froze for a second, then my partner says out loud "Man, that was one hell of a trick shot!" and we all started laughing.
literally, I'd say, "WTF??!!" The only place I ever deign to use MSN abbreviations is in everyday spoken language.
i just say one word to express my self... but i never missed to hit the shuttle anymore.. so when first time I played just said one word F****
