The 0.25 increments to help fine tune the particular sound tone the person is looking to get out of the racket. I am one of them.

Since I got my bg 66 and bg 85 from Matt. I decided to choose the bg 66. Would you think bg 66 at 25lbs would be ok? From some reviews, the bg 66 loses tension faster but not as fast as the bg 65. Hehe bg 66 @ 25lbs could last 2 months maybe??!

    hey, talking about sound tone,
I got a 2 tone difference from 19x21 compared to 20x22 (g to b). Does that mean I've not been stringing accurately? or its just normal? Just wanna make some comparism.

Well the tighter the string, the higher the pitch is. The difference between the 1 lbs overall is around a whole tone difference. However, if any asumptions have changed, such as differnt string, different racket, stringer, machine, then it cannot be compared properly.

it's okay bg-66 at 25lbs, it's decent tension, i think lose tension in bg-66 is normal, not too fast, just try it and then feel it..:D my friend w/ bg-66 can last for more than 6 months..:p:D even he strung at 29lbs:eek:

Thin strings have a much longer service life in Indonesia than in Canada. The reason is the weather.

First of all your kinda hijacking my thread. BUT...you should try lowering the tension a tiny bit. Bg80 has a pretty good repulsive power. You should try 25lbs next time you re-string.
