So i finally decided to get a new racquet after using a really bad one

and i chose MP66, and Armortec 500 because of the mid range price

but i'm having trouble deciding which one to get...

i want something that gives me power in smashes but also gives me control over drops and also nets...

if there's any other racquets you can recommend thats not too pricey...thanks for your help :)

funny you ask about 2 rackets that are in extreme cases...

    mp66 is flex and headlight

    at500 is mid and headheavy

if you know your style or what you used to, there shouldn't be much problem in choosing the two rackets...

    Acually the AT500 is stiff.
I bought an AT500 and I love it, it has great power and pretty good defense, I would recomend that if you want more power

unless you have extra stiff in the scale, at500 is definitely not on a stiff side

but i guess everyone has their scale differently :)

i used to have a at500 and i love it!!! but until someone step on it and it is broken T.T and now i got a new racket but not as good as my at500 =/ to me that mp 66 isnt as good as at500 so i recomment buying the at500 instead of mp 66

don't get the mp66, as you get better you'll definitely wish for more stiffness and head heaviness in this racket

if it has to be a mid-range yonex AT-500 is a good choice

Wow, yea you really did pick the two extremes. The AT500 is a pretty good racket for the price and it's preformance is quite nice, especially in terms of power, but imo, the control is lacking. The mp66 is quite the other story, if you play doubles and these two rackets are your only choices, then the mp66 is the way to go. If possible, get the mp88 which is quite a nice overall imo. Other choices from yonex include cab30ms, which is probably one of the best balanced racket from yonex and for it's price, it preforms remarkably well. Another would be the TI-10, but it's a bit hard to use, at least for me. Outside of yonex, I would say the Woven-8 is a good choice.
