that's not a sales tag, I attached a tag of me and my hubby's picture on it, and on the flip side is my name and phone number and address, so if I lose my bag, hopefully people will see it and return it to me. :D

I got the kind that looks like hiqua, except the tape is blue, but I didn't know they sell the ceramic ones in badmintonalley, that's neat! Ceramic will not break like real feather, so you can use it as a real keychain, and it's cheaper then the little feather ones...maybe I should get one. :D

I've been going thru the translated japanese website but there is still one thing I don't understand. What did you guys do with the thread? Did you guys tie a knot around every feather stem?

That right! the cork sized of the mini shuttle on sale are smaller. The cork of the damaged shuttlecork are bigger in size. So it look funny on the cut feather.

    how to...

this was a cake walk...i made my first one in 30 min easily :p
small walk through how to do it in 30 min or less
    tools and materials required
    one or two shuttles
a pair of wirecutters or scissors
    pliers (optional)
    string (optional)
    glue (optionl)

    1. cut all the support strings
    2. carefully pull the feathers, pliers make it easy but be sure to pull below the 1st string, you will cut most of this. Save the cork
3a. cut and trim all the string portion from the feathers
3b. cut diagonally about 1/2-1cm below where the 1st string was.
you should now have 16 trimmed feathers ready for insertion. The diagonal cut will help inserting the feather back into the cork.
    4. insert feathers back in cork, remember the vane part out
    done

    notes:
-you can use 2 birdies for more feathers, i recommend 2 used ones, you'll surely have at least 16 good feathers.
-string or key chain is optional, i recommend you attach around a feather before you insert it into the cork
-you can glue whatever you want
